  1. Yeah, that should be a lot of fun. No offense to boston's team, but it just wasn't really necessary for me to come up with any kind of special schemes against his team. But going forward, against the better teams, I'm really going to enjoy the 'game-planning' aspect of this, especially coming up with defensive strategies against the opposing offenses.
  2. This one has all the makings of a blowout, in favor of WB. He has an excellent defense, one that should be able to keep Flynn's offense in check, and while Flynn has some talented players on defense, WB is just way too strong in the running game and passing game to lose this matchup.
  3. I like yrtb here. RSFFL's defense is very shaky, and I expect yrtb to have no trouble moving the ball up and down the field. He should be able to dominate the point of attack, and run the ball at will. I'm not a big Kyle Orton fan, but RSFFL's defense will be forced to commit so many defenders to stopping the running game, that yrtb should be able to have some success with play fakes against RSFFL's secondary. yrtb is playing Trent Cole out of position, which could throw a wrench into what seems like a very talented pass rush, but I think he'll get enough pressure on Rivers and his secondary will play well enough to get stops.
  4. This is extremely close, and if these two teams played ten times, each might very well win five games. But I like Divinity's team slight more, as I think it matches up well against CD's defense. Dwight Freeney should not be playing in a 3-4, and I don't love CD's pass rushing OLBs. Given time, and considering his weapons, I think Romo will be able to pick apart CD's defense. Divinity will have more trouble running the ball, as CD ILBs are fantastic, but I also think Divinity's line will win the point of attack, and MJD and Turner will be able to grind out some yards. On the other side of the ball, I think Divinity will be able to do enough to win. He'll likely be hurt by the status of Jenkins and Lewis in three years, but his d-line is talented, and should do a good job in the trenches. Additionally, his secondary is quite talented, and while CD has some good weapons on offense, it likely won't be enough to match scores with Divinity's offense. I also would be concerned about Flacco holding up against what will probably be a decent pass rush out of Divinity's defense.
  5. JB44, in a relatively close contest. I see his offense having a huge game against an average defensive team, and while I also see youker scoring some points, I don't see his offense being able to go toe to toe with jaybay's.
  6. TK, in what would probably turn into a route. His offense is explosive, and should be able to move the ball freely against suns' defense, both through the air and on the ground. On the other side of the ball, TK should be able to completely shut down suns' ground game, as his defense is extremely strong against the run, and suns' offensive line will be checking into a retirement home in three years. In the air, if suns' o-line can manage to give Schaub time, he might be able to have a little bit of success, but not nearly enough to even make this a competitive game.
  7. I think YH213 should have been higher than he was, and I think he wins this matchup. I basically echo most of TK's points. MSU will have a very difficult time moving the ball against an absolutely dominant defense, and he should be able to score enough points to win. I look forward to the matchup I anticipate between myself and YH, and will enjoy coming up with the "game-plan".
  8. No, I don't think so. The game plan/explanations should help a team's case if they're persuasive and logical, but I don't think they're required.
  9. Agreed about the last part. As for the number of votes required for victory, I think TK stated that whoever receives the most votes in a certain time frame wins.
  10. Some can, some can't, which holds true for most positions. It's possible that some of them might not even be in the league in three years.
  11. Four out of your five offensive linemen will be in their mid or late 30s.
  12. suns, this fact hurts you maybe more than it helps you. What do you think your offensive line is going to be like in three years?
  13. Hell of a win though, and I'm sure you were pleased to see Boozer finally play well. I'd expect the Bulls to start to come together and play really well going forward.
  14. suns, 'most exciting player' is a very subjective thing. I'm sure Keeper was really excited about the Bulls' win, and posted what he thought of Rose. Is he the most exciting? I don't know, but it really doesn't matter and it isn't something to harp on.
  15. I figured this question should be posted in here. Ital, does each vote need to come with an explanation?
  16. I don't think this was agreed upon, but I also think it's a good idea.
  17. This is humorous.
  18. Well suns, focus on coming up with a great game plan against TK's team.
  19. suns, where would you have ranked yourself?
  20. My defense vs. B22407's offense: I think this is a very good matchup for my defense. My entire defensive scheme is predicated on getting to the QB, and that's exactly what I would be trying to do in this game. Ware and Harrison rushing Vick off the edge should do a very good job of keeping him in the pocket, along with Antrel Rolle and Roman Harper playing up in the box from time to time, and also applying pressure by blitzing the C gaps. Because of B22407's relatively weak receiving corp, I should be able to load up the box, and prevent big plays in the running game. All my linebackers are very disciplined against the run (except for Ware at times), and will do a good job of staying in their lanes and keeping containment against Vick and Johnson. I'll show some cover two from time to time, but I trust Hall and Joseph (and Phillips playing centerfield on passing downs) to handle pass defense when Vick is able to get the ball away cleanly. My offense vs. B22407's defense: B22407 made the mistake of drafting 4-3 pass rushing DEs (Umenyiora and Williams), and playing them in a 3-4. Osi would be completely ineffective in this defense, and it would hurt Williams as well. That will severely hurt his ability to rush the passer, and should help my pass heavy offense. My primary offensive set would be 3 WRs (Holmes, Nicks, and Royal), 1 TE (Cooley), and 1 RB (Bradshaw or Bush), and with Rodgers having time to stand in the pocket and allow the play to develop, I expect lots of success in the passing game (also remember that Reed may not even be in the NFL in 3 years). I also think I could have some success playing bigger sets on offense, because B22407's defensive line is almost a guarantee to struggle against the run. Special Teams: Neither of us have a significant advantage in this department, and it should hardly be game changing.
  21. My roster: Offense: QB: Aaron Rodgers RB: Ahmad Bradshaw RB: Reggie Bush WR: Santonio Holmes WR: Hakeem Nicks WR: Eddie Royal WR: Demaryius Thomas TE: Chris Cooley LT: Marcus McNeill LG: Justin Smiley C: Jason Brown RG: Chris Kuper RT: Ryan Harris Defense (3-4): DE: Marcus Spears NT: Jay Ratliff DE: Mike Wright OLB: DeMarcus Ware ILB: Curtis Lofton ILB: Bradie James OLB: James Harrison CB: Johnathan Joseph FS: Antrel Rolle SS: Roman Harper CB: Leon Hall BU: Matt Cassel, QB BU: Kenny Phillips, SS KR/PR: Leon Washington K: Neil Rackers P: Thomas Morestead Coach: Tom Coughlin Rationale for victory in next post...
  22. Ok thanks for the clarification.
