Considering Tulo's offensive production, his defensive ability, the position he plays, and his cost, I just don't think there's a better value pick in the draft. I think he should go at number one regardless of someone's draft strategy, but especially if that person is looking to take a position player. I understand the arguments for Pujols and Longoria, but for the reasons I mentioned, I just see Tulo as a better option.
With that being said, if the person selecting first overall wants to go with a pitcher, it's certainly debatable.
