  1. If they tie the game this inning, it would be a huge break. The 3-2 pitch to Posada was clearly strike three. If Gardner was running he probably goes to third on that single. Huge spot here for Swisher.
  2. Holy s***, this is so frustrating. 3-1 fastball down the middle to A-Rod, fouled it back. 3-2 fastball down the middle to A-Rod, fouled it back. He was ahead 3-0, and got out. Same with Damon. They have three hits today.
  3. Absolutely incredible. 3-1 fastball, great pitch to hit, and another pop-up. Jackson, I don't care how bad the Rays bullpen is, the Yankees are really struggling offensively.
  4. Wow, what an incredibly disappointing inning. Teixeira gets ahead 2-0 in the count, and hits a weak grounder to short. A-Rod walks. Posada gets ahead 1-0, gets a fastball middle in and up, and pops it up. Cano walks. Swisher gets ahead 2-0, and on 2-2, pops up a pitch that was almost directly down the middle. Definitely should have been able to do something that inning. EDIT: With that being said, to me the offense just does not seem to be clicking. They scored 2 runs on Wednesday, scored the luckiest 8 runs I have ever seen on Thursday, and have done absolutely nothing offensively today.
  5. That "scrub" has a chance to be a heck of a pitcher. He very well may pitch poorly today, but he has great stuff.
  6. Hopefully what has happened to CC the last two starts is not going to become a trend. The funny thing about it is that his last two starts are practically mirror images of each other. CC cruises through four, looking great, and then things turn around in the fifth. It didn't hurt them last Saturday, due to the big lead, but it has really hurt today.
  7. For me, this is easily CCs most disappointing outing of the entire year, all things considered.
  8. I would have liked to see Cervelli hitting once the count got to 2-0. EDIT: So Navarro has given the Yankees two runs, and Damon has given the Rays one run.
  9. Second start in a row where CC was cruising, only to hit a bit of a rough patch in the fifth inning.
  10. Dammit. Little things really letting the Yankees down.
  11. Ugh, really disappointing HR there, ahead 1-2 in the count.
  12. ORS, question... I use brooksbaseball.net, however there are two things that I can't find (I understand this is probably a stupid question). How do you get the charts that are color coded to show what the pitch types are, and how do you get the charts that are color coded to show what happened on each pitch (called strike, swinging strike, ball, in play, etc.)?
  13. Andrew Bailey, RP
  14. That's fine, but you made it sound like it was so low. Not only wasn't it so low, but it was actually a strike, and it wasn't even right on the bottom.
  15. There is a very good chance that both of these guys used when they weren't caught. However, call me naive, call me whatever you want., but people's lives have been ruined because the masses decided that someone was guilty without proof. We should know better at this point.
  16. Dimensions of Yankee Stadium hurt the Yanks there, not that Kinsler didn't earn that HR.
  17. Could say the same thing about tons of players. On top of that, he very well could be on it now. There is no way to know, and no real evidence. Therefore, it's all conjecture.
  18. How many times, in the last few games, can we point at an unproductive AB from A-Rod as the reason why they didn't score in a particular inning... Monday vs. Cleveland: Bases loaded strikeout with nobody out in the top of the 6th inning Tuesday vs. Texas: Popped up with first and third and one out in the bottom of the 1st inning Tuesday vs. Texas: Grounded out to the pitcher with the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the 2nd inning Tuesday vs. Texas: Should have hit into an inning ending double play with the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the 4th inning (Teixeira's nice take out slide) Wednesday vs. Texas: Grounded into a double play with the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the 3rd inning on a 3-1 pitch Wednesday vs. Texas: Struck out with a runner at third and one out in the bottom of the 6th inning. Thursday vs. Texas: Flew out to right with runners at first and second and nobody out in the bottom of the 1st inning. Thursday vs. Texas: Grounded out to short with a runner at second and nobody out in the bottom of the 4th inning. I have never seen him play this poorly.
  19. A-Rod, with the exception of a seeing eye single Monday in Cleveland, has been really bad lately.
