  1. Which stadium do they have? New Yankee Stadium?
  2. I like that a lot rsr. Very cool.
  3. Have to think that Marte has surpassed Coke on the depth chart. It's really nice to see him do well. Robertson is also looking very good. The guys after Rivera and Hughes have been impressive lately.
  4. Average: 89.87 Max: 91.7 http://www.brooksbaseball.net/pfx/index.php?month=9&day=3&year=2009&game=gid_2009_09_03_sfnmlb_phimlb_1%2F&pitchSel=118377.xml&prevGame=gid_2009_09_03_sfnmlb_phimlb_1%2F&prevDate=93
  5. Wow, Joe Girardi is horrendous. I cannot believe he doesn't have a lefty up for Lind and Overbay. EDIT: Unbelievable. EDIT 2: I do not believe this.
  6. Ugh, bad call there. EDIT: The bad call and the terrible AB by Damon cost them a run.
  7. I really hate Girardi. Gaudin was clearly fatiqued, and a large percentage of the outs he was getting were due to luck. He got very lucky that Scutaro flew out on that 3-2 pitch, and Girardi never should have let him face Hill with Aceves ready to go. I said it the other day, and I'll say it again, the biggest mistake this team ever made was letting a manager walk who never missed the playoffs once while he was here.
  8. It's looking like it might be a matter of time here with Gaudin... EDIT: And here we go... EDIT 2: This should be Aceves against Hill.
  9. Really nice play by Jeter showing off that improved range to his left.
  10. Ricky Romero has really fallen off in the second half.
  11. Probably should have went to Howell earlier.
  12. I understand not wanting to pitch Rivera for a third straight game. I also understand not wanting to extend CC another inning. All things considered, I really don't have a problem with those moves. Assuming Hughes is slated to close tonight, their best chance to win this game would be a combination of Robertson and Marte in the eighth inning. Instead they continue to try to get Bruney straightened out. I'm not sure how he is going to pitch tonight, but, at some point, the Yankees are going to need to come to grips with the fact that Brian Bruney is simply unreliable. EDIT: They took way too long to get rid of Jose Veras, and they're making the same mistake with Brian Bruney. EDIT: Well, I really like the fact that Girardi is not allowing Coke to face the RHH, and he is going right to Hughes.
  13. Unless Hinske hits a home run here, I really hope Joe pinch hits for Molina. EDIT: Have to pinch hit here. Not Teixeira, but someone. Even if it's Ramiro Pena. EDIT 2: Very disappointing. With the extra catcher up there is no reason to send Jose Molina out there right now.
  14. Frustrating to be shut down by a guy who really isn't pitching well.
  15. Agreed on both counts. And, like I said, I'm not blaming Girardi for Molina being in there. Has to be done. Just unfortunate, but he has really been an automatic out lately (and usually two outs if given the opportunity to hit into a DP).
  16. Yankees are probably going to pay now for having Molina in the lineup. Not that I'm blaming anyone, it's just unfortunate. EDIT: And they do.
  17. CC poor fielding killed him this inning, but he was also the victim of some bad luck. His velocity is also down so far. EDIT: But this inning CC is really in the middle of the plate.
  18. In my opinion the Yankees were the fourth best team in the American League last year. This is supported by the standings and the division they played in.
  19. Absolutely inexcusable base running by Damon. Cannot get doubled off on a ball hit in front of you.
  20. It just goes to show you that even one full season isn't always a large enough sample size to draw conclusions. If Swisher stays in NY for a couple more years I'd be willing to bet those numbers begin to even out.
  21. SoxSport is obviously wrong about the Phillies and the Angels acquiring Lee and Kazmir to shut down the Yankees. However, in Yankee Stadium, the opposing team would much rather be starting a lefty than a righty, mainly because of the ballpark. A LHP would better neutralize the three lefties in the lineup, and it would turn the four switch hitters around to the bigger part of the park.
  22. TEX wins 5-2.
  23. Great job by the bullpen tonight.
  24. Twins win on a walk off single by Jose Morales and stay within 3.5 games of Detroit.
