  1. Gom, was this your favorite game that you've been to?
  2. That's great that you were there. I hope you really enjoyed it. I don't usually get into rooting for individual players, or feeling good for individual players, but I'm really happy for A-Rod. For me, him winning a championship was the cherry on top.
  3. I really don't think you're going to find any Yankee fans that are going to answer "yes" to that question. There will be those who truly don't care how much money each team spends, and there will be those who are just blind to it because of their fandom.
  4. Obviously the Yankees paid dearly to give themselves a great shot at winning a championship. I don't think anyone disagrees, regardless of what team they root for. The only difference is that you attach a negative connotation to it. As I've stated numerous times in the past, I don't see it the same way.
  5. I don't think there is a reason to compare the two. TK asked a legitimate question, and, maybe, there are Yankee fans out there that feel that way. I just happen not to be one of them.
  6. Jacko, not trying to be pushy, just curious. What is the contract status of CMW?
  7. I just want them to win, whether it be with 25 rookies, or 25 high priced free agents.
  8. I'm a bit confused. What is Wang's current status with the Yankees?
  9. Eh, it's a bit of a giveaway that it's in the General Baseball Forum lol.
  10. Which year are you referring to? Are you saying that Cashman cost them a championship?
  11. It all comes down to how you define "team of the decade". Technically, the New York Yankees were the most successful, but the decade will be remembered for what the Red Sox accomplished. No question about it.
  12. Thanks guys.
  13. Very satisfying as a fan. I enjoyed spending the season with all you guys. Looking forward to some good discussion this offseason, and a great 2010.
  14. How about the fact that a save was awarded when the Rangers beat the Orioles 30-3. Now, whoever got that save really saved the game. *I think it was Wes Littleton, but I'm not positive.
  15. Not trying to be an *******, but it's not a save. Just pointing it out.
  16. In the hands of Rivera, I hope.
  17. Well, Francisco's and Utley's check swings were as close as it gets. One went the Phillies way, one went the Yankees way. Huge job by Marte. Anyway, I hope the fact that it isn't a save situation doesn't deter Joe from going to Rivera for two innings. If all goes well, it's the last he'll pitch till the spring.
  18. I hate Girardi so much. He is inviting the Phillies back in the game here.
  19. Well, Joba will be sent back out for the 7th, for the 8-9-1 hitters. If they threaten, the heart of the order will come up. Then you have to go to Rivera.
  20. I'm not agitated at all. What I said was correct and logical.
  21. If Andy got through that inning unscathed, against the heart of the Phillies order, then the game is probably out of reach. What happened in that inning doesn't mean the Phillies are going to win it, not at all, but it did keep them in the game.
  22. Well, Andy absolutely did what I expected him to do that inning. He let them right back in the game.
  23. Like I said, this was Pettitte's biggest inning, and he did exactly what I expected.
  24. This is probably the Phillies biggest inning of the game coming up. They have the heart of their order up against a tiring Pettitte. They absolutely need runs here.
