Unreal how bad Joe is. By pinch hitting for Gardner, a truly stupid move, he left himself vulnerable to Berkman hitting in a big spot against a lefty.

Wow, some of the calls O's pitchers have gotten today are just so bad. EDIT: Good decision by Joe here. If Thames can't get him in, I'd squeeze with Gardner, but I know Joe won't do that.

I don't understandable why they continue to go to his slider tonight. EDIT: Another slider on 1-2, another hanger.

This is the CC from his last start against the O's.

He didn't seem to have a feel for anything that inning, not just his fastball. His slider wasn't good, and unlike his fastball, his slider was missing in the zone. And the change-up wasn't diving like it usually does. Thing is, I don't view my criticism as questioning CC. I view it as questioning the Yankees' pitch selection, which I think is borderline abysmal.
