Yankees sent second baseman Mark Bellhorn outright to Triple-A Columbus. Even if the Yankees had some interest in bringing Bellhorn back as a utilityman, they weren't going to go to arbitration with him, not when he made $2.7 million this year. A paycut is definitely on the way. It will be interesting to see whether he lands a starting job as a free agent. He certainly had a rough year, but he's one of the top 30 second basemen in the game hahahha love that last sentence

Foulke (if healthy) Timlin (rumor is that he will resign) Paplebon Delcarmen Hansen Bradford Myers (not sure of his contract status) Dinardo Hirotoshi Ishii (if signed) That is a pretty deep bullpen and we haven't even discussed any possible free agent signings. I think the bullpen will go from being a weakness to a strength. I'd be willing to give this guy a chance.

Time was a factor once they got inside the 3 yard line, but USC ran the clock down so there would be no time left for ND. USC was not in a hurry. Leihnart almost messed that up by trying to get in and not getting out of bounds, he got a lucky break. Im sorry, but USC at the 3 with like 43 seconds left, Im using my timeouts. When have they not scored in a situation like that? He showed confidence in his defense, but they just gave up a huge play, USC clearly had the momentum. A TO would have given his good Offense a chance with atleast 30 seconds left, more IMO.

I think that was bad coaching by Charlie Weis at the end of the game. I have no clue why he didnt use his Timouts once USC got close to scoring. The time wasnt a factor to USC because they were so close. I would have called timeouts to at least give ND a chance if USC scored. It was 1st and goal with about 40 something seconds left, I would have definatley tried to save as much time as I could for my offense, btu even earlier ND could have saved more time. They ended the game with all 3 timeouts.
