  1. any errors?
  2. Just when the Islanders were building themselves back up, they knock it down by hiring Garth Snow. They will be in the running for worst team in the East with a Hasek-less Nolan at the helm, as his career win percentage without Hasek is below .400 Here's the rumor I am hearing Nolan met with Wang yesterday and it turned into a shouting match. Supposidly, he, LaFontaine and Snow were interested in bringing Peca back, and were not interested in Poti (can't blame them). When Peca signed with the Leafs, Smith was fired. Not sure why that triggered the firing, but Peca did say something about the rumors to NYI were "overbown" and that there wasn't a "serious offer". from the Isles. Wang said today that Smith didn't buy into the management concept that they were pushing.
  3. does arod really have 3 errors? did torre sub someone in to play 3rd in the 9th?
  4. Here's Matsuzaka: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAwmW2S-xX4&eurl= If you're watching this, 147 km is about 94 mph or so. But, Matsuzaka is not a free agent until 2008 and cannot sign with a MLB team unless the Lions decide to post him, and the rumors say they don't want to. BTW, when he is posted, each team in MLB will offer a bid sealed in an enevelope and the highest bidder gets to negotiate a deal with him Here's Matsuzaka stats from 2006: ERA 2.03 (2nd in the league) W-L: 10-2 (2nd) K: 114 (1st) Innings pitched: 102 He is only 24. But, Scott Boras is his agent and if there is anyone that can get him posted before 2008 than Boras is the one to do it. It will probably take a bid of $20 Mil.+ just to get him to work out for the Sox, or any other team for that matter.
  5. Except WMP is 24, and is pretty cheap. We can't judge if he is a bust until he takes over for Trot, most likely next year. And if you don't think Pavano is a bust, look at how many starts he has made as a yankee and his ERA during that time, chyeaaa.
  6. At least we play Kansas City next
  7. alright, now it has gone toooooo far.
  8. time to panic? we're 2 days into the 2nd half of the season and are still 1.5 games up in the division, and have played the least amount of home games than any other team. people need to stop worrying, stop jumping to conclusions, and just enjoy the ride.
  9. Did you just realize that?
  10. 2 more LOB...7 through 4 http://hfboards.com/images/smilies/wavetowel.gif
  11. what a surprise...2 more left on base
  12. f***..i thought he had that
  13. If we win tonight, its ONLY because of the RSR Mojo...Period.
  14. if there are enough people interested, I'll start another league...
  15. I think the statement Ty Cobb made when he was 80 was funny because he was a great player. This is just some 80 year old hack who actually thinks he's that great.
  16. According to Hockeybuzz.com last night: Today looks like the day that the Eagle will grow Wings as Eddie Belfour and the Red Wings are very close to announcing a deal(e4)...A rumor was circulating yesterday that the reason this deal has been stalled was because the Wings were working a deal that would have sent Lang to Buffalo for Biron plus a forward. The forward was the sticking point. The Panthers are now in talks to get Biron, and the Sabres would like Bouwmeester. The Panthers, who have cap room, may take one of the arbitration players off the Sabres hands. Word is Adam Mair could go the other way. The Panthers are also considering Aebischer as an alternative.
