  3. saw the game....couldnt tell what gay- rod said but he was really really pissed judging by his facial expression and body language keep up the good work yankees I dont see this "Turn- Around" happening any time soon (knock on wood), before you know it yankee fans will be saying - "its only september"

  5. ha, aren't we all...?
  6. tex...this is an awesome opening to a thread...you should do it everyday...props to you!!
  7. since denver is out....go Miami!!!!
  8. yep they did, but has any team lost 3 in a row to the D-Rays on consecutive days with a $200+ million payroll.....?
  9. just heard on baseball tonight that miller is supposed to be pitching vs seattle on sunday....made his last rehab start today.... EDIT: haha ACLBoSox if you look at the game threads we posted that miller would be back at the same EXACT time...
  10. he had a double right off the top of the wall with the bases loaded....couple inches away from a HR
  11. today my play of the game goes to kevin millar... ... After Renteria booted the ball in the sixth, he compounded his mistake by throwing to first even though there was no chance to get the runner. The throw was awful but Millar made a nice pick to keep the runners on first and second instead of second and third. Next batter, double play, inning over.
  12. sticking to the first base topic... ...Am I the only one who thinks that Millar looks much more comfortable at first this year? In the games I've seen he's done a very good job both at stopping grounders/liners and digging balls out of the dirt. Not sure we even need a defensive replacement any more, unless its a guy of Minky's caliber, which neither McCarty nor Olerud have. ...but i'll take olerud
  13. this signing has very low risk/high reward potential. . .
  14. I like this signing a lot. Olerud is a better compliment for Millar than McCarty is. He probably doesn't have all that much left in the tank, but he has been one of baseball's more underrated players of this era. And he's only a year removed from putting up decent numbers (.281/.392/.422) vs. RHP. Of course, his 2002 numbers are what we're really hoping to see (.306/.414/.517 ). Absolutely worth the gamble. when is he supposed to get back? I wonder if Petagine has decided to go back to Japan to play, instead of playing in the Sox farm system. Probably the end of McCarty. (At least as a player; David this your desk...)
  15. ehhh, not worried about them right now, they can't stay this hot all season, i just hope the yankees keep losing ....and the rate they are losing at they could be losing 'til the next ice age
  16. yay we win, yankees lose...could this day be any more perfect!!!!
  17. so where does everyone think burnett will end up this offseason (yeah yeah I know its early), IMO its either New York or Boston... god I hope boston...we could use him
  18. well this sucks 4-2 rangers.....
  19. according to redsox.com he only feels that he needs 1 more rehab start, and wants to get back in for the detroit series...
  20. we'll see what happens in denver, that thin air will cause trouble for the spurs, run-and-gun...NUGGETS STYLE!!!!!!
  21. yes, I always knew they couldnt win 3 in a row, they win 2 and boom...see ya
  22. c'mon clement don't blow this lead...
  23. keep an eye on the 'nugs.they are the hottest team in the league...have won 26 of 30..melo, kmart, and miller.........
