    Game is at 7:05 tonight: Clement (1-0, 3.12 ERA) vs. Lopez (2-0, 2.66 ERA) huge game tonight if there ever was one in april....lopez is nasty right now, and clement has trouble with patient teams.* If he wins this game, then it will be a turning point for him....

    in other yankee news, by the end of the year they will owe over $30 million in luxury taxes...the red sox (2nd highest payroll in league) owe just $1 million.

    heres my lame attempt to start a game thread since no one else has done it...(dunno how to put the picture in) Chen (1-0, 1.65 ERA) v.s. Wells (1-2, 4.82 ERA) 2 game series again...maybe we'll do better against the O's this year....go sox!

    This is a very respectable move...Wake deserves this as he's sacraficed more than any athlete in a long time.* He can realistically go on pitching effectively for another 5 or 6 years (or more). Tim Wakefield is one of the best team players the Sox have ever seen. They've changed his role about 47 times and he's never complained. Wake, it's great that you'll be back for another 2 + seasons.* As far as the 'C' on his jersey, maybe we should put an 'A' on Wake's Jersey, for assistant captain...LoL... Anyways, I love this move -- a great gesture to Wake by the front office.* I can't imagine that he's asking for much more (if*any) than he's already being paid, and the the guy's a stud.* You can mail in at least 15 wins a year from Wake, and being a*knuckle-baller*he could probably pitch until he's 50!* *

    Wade Miller allowed only a leadoff homer as he pitched five innings during a rehab start Monday, He gave up six hits, striking out six, walking none.

    lol yup... but i think hes ok with the mets right now, winning 6 in a row (not sure how they did today), but the mets will fall apart in a few weeks and NEVER recover

    Yeah great performance.....Dustin Pedroia had four hits and tied a franchise record with three doubles and Hanley Ramirez added three hits, a triple, two RBI and two runs scored as the Portland Sea Dogs improved to 10-0 with an 11-6 win at Trenton on Sunday. Portland's 10-game winning streak is the longest since August 22-31, 2000 and two wins away from the longest winning streak in franchise history.

    Not sure if this has been said but this afternoon Tim Wakefield passed Cy Young for third on the teams all- time strikeouts list...truly a accomplishment...Congrats Wake!
