    Even if they do make some sort of push it will be too little too late... the Twins are ripe for the WC this year as the Chi Sox look VERY real... once Schilling comes back all will be well and I fully expect the Red Sox the run away with the division... Toronto will be a pain in our collective ass this year though IMO... spoiler type.. The only 2 teams with a better record than the red sox are the chi sox and the cards. And the MFY are now 0.500.* That is going to make hitting 110 wins very difficult....they will not win 90

    This is going to be a very interesting baseball game everyone and I'll tell you why. Don't think for a minute that tito doesn't want very much to beat tony larussa and his NL squad..Homefield advantage is at stake here as well as larussa looking for some revenge from the WS. I think it is gonna be a slaughter cause of the creame de le creame that we have in the american league. and it's al rules which I like as well. besides matt clement who else do you see on the hill for our side...I don't think it's gonna be randy...lol.. probably Roger and Willis for the NL GO AL!!!

    AL East Red sox orioles (1.5) yankees (6.5) yanks lose again....anybody still think we will go after schmidt, lilly, or zito.... We are oozing with confidence and why not?? so lucky thus far, escaping near loses thanks to our star reliever embree. Epstein deserves a hand, for orchastrating a suprising rotation including Cy young candidate Clement, a much improved Wade Miller, and ever reliant David Wells. Even without Schilling this team could do well. Olerud is fitting super well with our team this year, and he is hitting like his old days(something he couldn't quite do dawning a pinstripe uniform). Jay Payton has been a significant improvement over last years hero basestealer and Renteria is proving to be worth every penny(much more steadier SS than cabrera). For the trade deadline we just need one reliable reliever and possibly another long relief guy. Mantei and even Embree should be given very minimal role or go to the minors. Feeling good about our team

    The damage is done and I have stated this before the Yankees went on their temporary tear .. playing .800 ball in 2 weeks... i think they are done.. it's over for them and they can't overcome this.. the damage has been done.. they are drained physically and emotionally... The Yankee team of 1978 had a lot of heart and Bucky F' ING Dent. This team has too many I's in it. I don't see it happening. They have imploded. RIP nowhere to go but down from here for the MFY's life is good
