  1. I should have known that the "mystery stripper lady" in Toronto was just Jeter in a blonde wig!
  2. Congrats to EVERYONE! I love you all. Good night!
  3. Something that Red Sox fans and A-Rod can agree on. Touche.
  4. I'm happy about it because 1) it's great news, and 2) Yankees fans are twitching right now. Not only does A-Rod opt out, but the Red Sox win the world series in the same night! Does it get any better? If the Yankees had decided to announce their new manager, then that would have been ridiculous.
  5. The only thing I was comparing was how common the bashing is. Not necessarily the reasons. I don't mind the fact that he is bashed, it's just annoying with how common it is. I understand why he's bashed the way he is though.
  6. I think it's the website. It went up in 2004 and just like the 2007 Red Sox, some of the members from the 2004 squad (not most of them) are still here today ... lol ...
  7. Hahahahahhahahaahha, f*** yeah is all I have to say. And I love it. He gave all of New York a gigantic "f*** you" with this. I think this was a lot more driven by shoving it back in the fans' faces for when they booed him than some of you think. Either way, I love the shitfest that's going on in New York tonight.
  8. lol, thanks Gom. So much for your 86-76 prediction.
  9. THEY f***ING DID IT AGAIN!!!! THEY DID IT!!!! I LOVE YOU ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. This is getting almost as bad as the JD Drew bashing. Sigh. He's not the classiest/gracious person (or at least comes off that way), but I'd be filthy rich if I had a penny for every time someone bashed him...
  11. Sorry guys. I had a football game yesterday, only to come back home and needing to take my father to the hospital. They think he might have MS. As you can imagine, Talksox was the last thing on my mind. Thanks for picking me up though with the gamethreads ... you got it tonight if you want it. We won with you starting it.
  12. This is a pretty dumb thread. Polian complains a lot ... Dungy's quote was probably taken out of context. Who cares? They have to play the game anyway, as do a lot of teams.
  13. I still get into it because I feel like we still have something to prove. I'm sick of all this "they won't win another one until 2090" ********. If they win this year, then I won't feel like we have anything to prove. I must say though, I agree with TheKilo - I'm much more relaxed. If they got eliminated, it wouldn't be the end of the world. I just enjoy watching them go as far as they have. However, if we had faced the Yankees in the ALCS, I would have been a wreck for the entire ALCS. I know that much. So maybe not THAT much has changed as far as my passion with the rivalry goes.
  14. Come on Lowell! Go ahead run is in scoring position!
  15. No idea yet. I have two cousins that go there now, one that graduated last year. One of my cousins just wants to be a teacher, so he's in education. The cousin that graduated played hockey and is in Minnesota right now training to become an NHL ref. The other cousin (this one is the brother of the cousin that graduated) plays hockey there now too - he's an assistant captain... I don't know what he wants to do, lol. I'll go in undeclared, but my interests lie in the social sciences (psychology, sociology to be specific) and government type stuff. History too. BC has a core program so hopefully that will make my career path choice a bit easier, lol. I also want to go to Georgetown University. I'm applying early action to both schools. UVa is at the top of my list as well, but they dropped their early application process.
  16. Cleveland Circle is nice. Just don't go around the back of the Circle Cinema when it gets late ... bad stuff haha. Go to Eagle's Deli as soon as you can. Their burgers are awesome. They showed one of those mammoth burgers yesterday night during the game. It's my favorite place to pig out. Roggie's on Chestnut Ave is also a great place to pig out/watch sports with friends. Check that out too. Have you experienced any of those places?
