    I see. The only reason I asked is that Everett High's football team is insane. We scrimmaged them during the pre-season and stuck with them, but I know that they're ranked #1 in the state year in and year out.

    Amen bro. Amen. It seemed like you, me, and See Red were the only people vocally defending him on a daily basis. I wanted to give everyone that had ever s*** on Drew this season a big "f*** YOU" and tell them to stop enjoying the moment. The people that had faith in him all year would savor the moment. I know I certainly did.

    $5M for ONE YEAR? Yeah, $5M for one year can't be stomached by them in a worst case scenario. If they really wanted him, they would have offered him multiple years. Good for Torre. He didn't deserve the s*** he got.

    The Yankees offered him a one-year contract? I don't care how much money he was being paid. After everything he's done for the Yankees, this is how the organization says they want him back? ********. They just didn't have the balls to say to his face "We are going in a different direction. Sorry, but thanks for everything." So, they make it look like they want him back by offering him a salary that will keep him as the highest paid manager in baseball, but for only a year? If they really wanted him back, they would have pursued him after he rejected the offer and asked what they could do to get him to return. Instead, they stood up and said "thanks for everything, bye." The Yankees' brass needs to grow a pair. Seriously.

    I lived in Newton since I was 3 right in between Comm. Ave and Beacon St. but I recently moved to Wellesley. I'm applying to BC early this year because I've loved that school and its athletics ever since I started watching their football games when I was 5. I just don't understand why no one goes to the games. I stay until the final second ticks off the clock ... when I went to the game against NC State this year, the fans (except for me and a few others, and the students of course) were leaving when there were still 7 minutes left in the 4th. WTF?? Come on people. As far as the Catholic hordes decending on Newton on gameday...I can see why the people of Newton would hate it. Trust me, if there's one thing I've learned throughout my life in Newton, it's that the nickname "Jewton" definitely applies. Without a doubt.

    They were so atrociously bad in 2004 and still beat us on MNF, so yeah. I like to err on the side of caution.

    Their schedule gets pretty tough starting with their next game (at VTech). If they come out of the rest of their schedule undefeated, they should undoubtedly be ranked in the top 5.

If he was successful, he'd be the same way ... he wouldn't look like he cared or anything. That doesn't mean that he doesn't. LOL. Oh s***! I would like to see Crisp sit out of the lineup more than anybody.
