  1. Shhhhh, if he really believes it's over then maybe he'll leave!
  2. Some patience at the plate would be nice.
  3. That White Sox fan in the green behind home plate is hilarious. Just keep an eye on him with each pitch lol.
  4. Don't argue with him. He's the most pessimistic poster of all-time. BOY, we do have a far superior pitcher this season on the mound tonight.
  5. I just want to be sure - you mean a floor, not a ceiling, right? I'm not sure a cap is needed as much as a floor ... you could have both, but I don't think you'd get both. I mean, it's great to see teams like the Marlins and Rays playing great baseball, but that doesn't happen too often it seems. Essentially it seems like a floor is almost forcing a team to be more competitive, no? I'm not an expert in this area by any means, but I'm interested in hearing what other people think about the effects of a floor and/or cap in addition to which is ultimately better.
  6. What? I read that Boston was a destination to which he couldn't veto. I guess that writer was wrong. EDIT: I read it wrong. Boston was one of ten teams he didn't want to go to. Whoops.
  7. Didn't the Yankees get f***ed with Canseco for blocking him from a team or something?
  8. I don't see them overtaking the Pats obviously, but they can be a wild card team. Favre right now is such an upgrade at QB for the options they had, it isn't even funny.
  9. I think the Jets just became a playoff team. The Jets now have a QB who can throw the ball down the field consistently for the duration of an entire game.
  10. I'll tune in to the live show next time... forgot about it last night haha. I'm streaming it right now though.
  11. Back to the thread - yes, User Name, your best bet is to have some kind of connection if you plan on getting them within the next decade. I may be being a bit generous with that too.
  12. Root for the name on the front of the jersey. Not the back.
  13. Either one works, but not every train runs through Fenway. You have to be sure to be on a D line train on the green line if you want to get off there. The walk is also a bit longer. Besides, coming from Braintree, Kenmore is probably the closer of the two stops anyway.
  14. Just heard it again. Tampa Bay is likely to acquire him and the deal could be announced as early as tomorrow afternoon.
  15. Just heard on SportsCenter that a Favre trade to Tampa Bay is likely to be finalized and announced sometime on Wednesday. Nothing on the internet so far though, so obviously, as always, take it with a grain of salt.
  16. s*** I missed it...what happened?
  17. I know. I was just using your logic to bust your chops a little. Don't worry about it.
  18. Because Epstein had nothing to do with drafting Ellsbury or anything...
  19. The piece that hit Bannister wasn't without authority IMO. It was going right up the gut if Bannister wasn't there, and it looked like a solid piece off the bat to me.
  20. Doesn't change that he's been struggling. Getting better, but still struggling in certain aspects. Hideo Nomo threw a no-hitter for us too. Should I show him a ton of love? All that said, Buchholz will be fine in the long run. His stuff is just too good.
  21. I was just about to say this. Like Kilo said... Clay had a bad inning. The offense had a bad night. 6 IP with 4 ER isn't bad from your FIFTH starter.
  22. I'm not sure how that makes the lineup better.
