some guy named bruce chen (LHP) is going up against the yanks. he is 0-0 with a 2.19 ERA...im not so sure about the yanks losing today because that means they would be swept by the ORIOLES in yankee stadium. but however, vazquez has sucked. EDIT: i put in his first name and his actual ERA is 2.19, was changed from 2.66 which i originally posted.

and i havent seen any yankee fans posting in here recently, i think theyre too pissed about their team sucking recently. its about time they feel some pain and frustration...as they almost NEVER do.

id like to see wake in a clutch game against the yankees however. i think wake has had a prime year that we didnt notice, or next year will be it. wakes incosistency is starting to worry me.

balls and strikes are sole umpire decisions. i said in a big crucial situation too. balls and strikes usually arent questionable, but balls and strikes wouldnt be in the "controversy" topic. hell, earpieces are better than the umpire walking over to a camera and watching the play over and over with stopped playing time. have someone do that from above while the play is flowing.

yea, be happy with whatever we can get. if its the WC, so be it. thats all im focusing on until (hopefully), the red sox over take the yankees in the division. when and if that happens, thats when we can start focusing on staying ahead of the yankees.

guys, look we cant be that mad. im not mad right now like i usually am. i mean for once, when we lose, the yankees lose. did we really expect to win every game coming up? no. even if it looked like we should have won this game in the beginning, we didnt, which is what happens in every sport every day. doesnt matter what happened, the roberts tag is over, and at least it wasnt in some crucial game. this game didnt really mean anything. nothing horrible came out of this loss. we looked OUTSTANDING in this loss. it was a loss, but a loss that we cant blame ourselves for, and thats the point. this game is a win for us. even though we lost, we played like winners who are about to win a game, and nothing bad in standings or anything happened. we are in fine shape, and can look to tomorrow for another win with schilling on the mound. texas...bring it on. bottom line being, win or lose tonight and any other night, the sox right now are THE HOTTEST TEAM IN THE MLB, and on any given night, the team to beat. go sox, here we come!! playoffs '05 baby. so far, september has been a great month for us, even though its been four days. this team has showed signs of not slowing down. that may have been one of my better posts of my time here , and pretty deep if i do add.

instead of instant replay, why dont the umps wear ear pieces connected to people who are watching instant replays in an office. if the play is controversial like today in a crucial situation, they can be corrected. that way the game still flows and a decision can be made before the next batter comes to the plate.

was his knees. your right. i remember him trying to bend down and his knees just didnt do anything. when it comes to having a world series win or risking a loss because u want a core part of your team in, which is what happened, is an easy pick. buckner is still part of the team no matter what happened, whether they won it all or not. the management f***ed up BAD that night. pitching coulda used some help too. i was ready to see what no one had saw in 68 f***in years...and what happens? they choke.
