  1. Meh, I don't think Jerry Porter would be a good replacement for Dillon. I'd rather have Dillon and our current WR core. However, Arizona...I never thought of that. Good idea dude. A young talented WR like Boldin would fit well, especially with Brady, who could make him an even better WR. I think we would end up with Boldin, as Fitzgerald is a younger talent. Not to mention Arizona is in desperate need of a RB.
  2. Well, this is looking good so far for me, ORS and CalvnHobs
  3. Haha, yeah. Which is why I'm not sold on them being "elite" quite yet.
  4. Yeah boy!!! TOUCHDOWN STEELERS!!! 10-0.
  5. Well, that's what I meant. Kraft has to approve it, and Kraft is still in charge of the money, so really Kraft is in charge of what happens.
  6. Sounds good. I'm excited about this trade, I believe Crisp has much more upside than Johnny did at Crisp's current age. I tihnk his defense will be an upgrade, and he's going to be a bigger threat on hte basepaths. Who else thinks that in the long run, Crisp will be better?
  7. Right, but those rookies still have to prove themselves in the big games. The Steelers' secondary has been proved. But I will say that if the Broncos' secondary shows me something today, I'll be right with you. But as of right now, Roethlisberger is picking them apart.
  8. Well, a post like that to talk to 2 people in a sea of about 15 seems out of place.
  9. That's 2 people. Riverside, myself, you, yankeessuck013, guapo, Sox Fan on Cape, we're all happy with it. Along with jsinger, ACL BoSox, SchillingIsTheNatural, and example1. I don't see where you get the idea that only bitching is being displayed. a700hitter too. Ok, AND KeepTheFaith
  10. I understand that, but that's what I want. I said I don't think the Pats will take a big look at Edge for that reason you just said in my first post of the thread. No one would bite.
  11. Uh, I don't see anyone bitching. I see people disappointed at losing Marte, but happy we got Crisp. Did you read?
  12. Hahahahaa, you meant all CAPS, I gotcha. And yes, it did. LET'S GO STEELERS! Well, at least spoil Denver's attempt to cover.
  13. Yes, this is why I would love to have Edge. We could send away Dillon for some serious talent in return. But, to be fair to Dillon, those 2 postseason games were against some of the best D-lines in the league. Denver's obviously, and Jacksonville has Stroud and Henderson right up the middle. 2 6'6"+ 320lb+ men. But you're right. I would still love to see Edge in New England. And are you serious about the Ravens looking for offers for Ray? Anyway, that's why I would like Edge. We get a great RB, and trade away Dillon for potentially a pro-bowl WR. Imagine Deion Branch as a #2 receiver.
  14. Well, signing Dillon wasn't exactly the Belichick way either. He was a loud mouth who trash talked a bunch, but we still signed him. Also, remember, it's not Belichick who's signing and paying players.
  15. He probably understands that. He wasn't making a case for anyone with any special awards, he was just saying it as it is. He never said ARod deserved it over Papi, in fact, he never said ANYTHING about anyone deserving any end of the season awards. Especially any Yankees winning it over any Sox. EDIT: Well, up until his next post he didn't make a case...
  16. I don't think the Pats will be all over it as much as I would like them to be. If we get Edge, we can trade Dillon for that amazing WR we want. I'm not that surprised to see them keep Wayne though, the Colts win more with Peyton's arm than Edge's legs. With that O-line, Dominic Rhodes could be pretty successful.
  17. Another reason why I don't want Gonzalez. We're fine as we are. If Cora goes down, we'll figure it out when that time comes.
  18. The Steelers have 3 down linemen. That leaves an offensive guard on each side to pick Polamalu up. When the Steelers LBs blitz, Farrior will go up the middle, but the others will either stay back in zone coverage to contain the middle, or go outside around the H back (tightend). That still leaves one guard to pick up Polamalu. True, if Polamalu runs free, he should get better penetration, but the formation that the Steelers use doesn't exactly let that happen as easily as we might think. They use 2 DE's and 1 NT.
  19. If we sign Alex Gonzalez, Cora will be the backup.
  20. Oh, whoops. I'll change it then.
  21. Yeah that's why I said don't sign him. He's not worth the money when we have someone like Cora who can play just as well, with potentially better defensive capabilities.
  22. I wouldn't complain if Wells and Clement were traded away in efforts to get a decent SS. Don't sign Alex Gonzalez, I'd much rather Cora. As much as I like Cora, if we can get a better everyday SS, go for it. If not, no big deal. But I would LOVE to see Papelbon in the rotation to start. If not, oh well, use him in the bullpen and as a spot starter.
  23. 37* with a damn bad shoulder problem. He was considering retirement as well, if I remember correctly. *Thanks a700hitter.
  24. He said "could." I'm pretty sure he was looking back to last year when they didn't have him.
  25. I can't begin to list how many games Cano lost for the Yankees because of his defense. I'd be thinking for an hour. Batting? Well, we've only seen Cano for one year. We need to see more before we pass judgment.
