  1. :thumbdown Do you really think yeszir would let this happen? Seriously, labeling members as "trash members" or "incredibly smart" isn't something to do. People know who is who, and there's no need to start ranking people.
  2. Soxfan...there you go putting yourself back to -6. This has been a tough playoffs for you.
  3. Oh. s***. That's what I meant.
  4. Yep. Very aware of that. Nick Goings time baby. Besides, the Panthers aren't going to beat the Seahawks* with their running game, they're going to do it with Steve f***in' Smith. EDIT: I originally had Broncos. Thanks, Stocker...lol.
  5. 2 years ago it was legal with downfield contact. They changed the rule last year to 5 yards. Take advantage of a rule that's not written, it works. Hah, I preferably would have liked the Pats/Steelers because we would be playing at home....Ugh. The Denver f***in' Broncos. I'm not taking anything away from the call, it definitely could have gone either way and I'm not saying THAT call was wrong, but as long as they're bringing it up, why not talk about it? Anyway, because the ONLY AFC team I like is the Pats, and my favorite NFC team is the Panthers for the way they've turned around that franchise after going 1-15 a few years ago...GO PANTHERS. EDIT: I just got my new Julius Peppers jersey in the mail over the weekend, and I wore it to school today http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/P/B0009W6S82.01-AVRR6WAP2O9Z1._SS500_SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg
  6. Yep. I know who I'm picking regardless. I think both underdogs win. It's just like picking straight for me. I wasn't really impressed with the Broncos' win, as it was more the Pats beating themselves, but still, the Broncos won, so I give them credit. Carolina is just a better team than Seattle, with or without Alexander. Not to mention I'm sure that the Steelers are glad the title game's finally away from Heinz Field, although the Broncos are damn happy it's at home. Carolina is the best road team in the league, not to mention my favorite NFC team That's right folks. First Superbowl ever where 2 wildcard teams are playing.
  7. NFL Football Spread For Conference Championships NFL Playoffs Date - 1/22, 2006 Date & Time........... Favorite...........Spread...........Underdog 1/22 3:00 ET............ At Denver.............-3.5............. Pittsburgh 1/22 6:30 ET............ At Seattle............ -3.5............. Carolina
  8. If anything, the NFL is NOT trying to get on the Pats' side. They want as many different teams to win it every year as possible. It drives up interest. If the Pats' keep dominating it every year the NFL will eventually get pissed. Although, if it did contribute to a Pats' win, Ben Watson would deserve praise every day for the rest of his life.
  9. You loser.
  10. I think he knew he said "Brandon."
  11. Their apologies don't take the sting away. They can apologize all they want, but the whole game and this whole weekend there have been questionable calls. I don't know what Joey Porter would have said in the locker room if the Polamalu interception over-turn led to a Colts' win. Apologies don't mean anything, especially when they're intended for a losing team who has nothing to play for anymore.
  12. I think our exact spot is determined already and set. When they say "still subject to the playoffs," I'm pretty sure they mean the 4 remaining teams to see who wins what.
  13. You are sick. :harhar: Yeah, I remember that. Miami got robbed too
  14. Exactly. That's why I don't think Manning did the right thing, at all. They bust their asses for their QB and for him to throw them under the bus like that is just wrong. I hope they all take a play off next year, and Manning gets what's coming to him. Those 3 point stances are bitches, by the way.
  15. Granted the Pats made a huge amount of turnovers, and Denver did capitalize, and we can say whatever we want...but... I can say this: If the Pats played like themselves, they host Pittsburgh next week.
  16. I praise Blowhorn for 2004, but good riddance in 2005.
  17. Exactly. Blaming the o-line was the wrong thing to do. But point well taken, I didn't think of that aspect. You're right, he wants the light, but won't take the heat.
  18. I really think for the most part, BC has adapted well to the ACC. The ACC has some of the toughest places to play (Maryland, Duke, etc) and they've been exposed to it now. I hope they do well in the tournament, they have the potential to be a championship team led by Dudley and Smith.
  19. Well, I disagree in that Peyton wasn't wrong when it comes to calling out his o-line. They can only block so many defenders. The o-line can get overwhelmed too. As an o-lineman, I can say it's hard to know who to pick up on blitzes and what your responsibility is when the d-line and their linebackers converge on you. Pittsburgh is known for the blitz, hence the name "Blitzburgh." I believe Peyton should have called out his coaching staff. It was clear that they were not well prepared for this game, and the Indy o-line coach should have known that opposing teams know that pressure is the only way to stop Peyton. He should have prepared the line and asked Dungy what he thought of his scheme. They should have run I-Formations more often or a Strong or Weak-I so they had an extra blocker in the fullback. That would have helped. They also should have kept Edgerrin James in the backfield on passes instead of sending him out to the flat. Edge is a big guy who can block. Peyton attacked the wrong set of people, and he's going to need to win his line back in the off-season.
  20. With the Super Bowl we have to pick the score too, that will be the tie breaker in case of any point ties, which there will be, I'm sure. Are the spreads for the title games out yet? EDIT: And oh yeah, GO CAROLINA!
  21. I think you mean Carolina* winning wasn't a surprise
  22. Cheers to: ARod2212 One Red Seat See Red CalvnHobs6 *clink* Not counting anyone else out, but.... MAY THE BEST MAN WIN!
  23. Uh yeah, I hate to say I told you so.
  24. It's a long long story. And no, he didn't do anything wrong.
  25. Well, that wasn't a safety. It was a good call.
