  1. I know, I'm just saying I don't want the Toronto game rescheduled either, as I will suffer from baseball withdrawal.
  2. Supposedly it's not looking very good for tomorrow either
  3. Weird. It's not raining outside my house and I'm only 10 mins from there. Hm. But there's officially a delay?
  4. Hahahah yeah, I've been saying all along I agree with your point, but I'm just saying that it includes the fact that he's overpaid. Yes, he was "overyeared" if you must Impressive, we basically took up a whole page.
  5. ...and overpaid Whatever, point is I agree with the assessment that his value isn't as much as what he's getting through his contract.
  6. It's not raining here yet. If they wait until 7:30 the game definitely won't be played or only 1 or 2 innings will be. They should just start on time...they could get an official game in..
  7. Well, first pitch is in 13 minutes. I think they'll get an official game in at the least. Score some runs early boys!
  8. Well right, but your also talking about his salary there and suggesting he's overpaid. If it was 5 years at 4/5 per I doubt this would be as big of a deal. But regardless of what you meant, I agree with you in that the Sox signed him for too long. His bat speed sometimes looks slower than my grandma driving on the highway.
  9. Wait, is this official or just a prediction? It doesn't look terrible outside my house. Some ominous clouds (I live in Newton, 10 minutes from the park) but it doesn't look any worse here than it did last night. I think they might be able to squeeze it in or play through whatever rain comes.
  10. The difference is not just that. The difference is that Clemens stopped in Toronto. He also left because the management was horrible to him. Damon went straight to the Yanks. I have no ill feelings toward Roger, nor Damon because I'd probably take the money too, but if we're comparing the two's situations, Roger's is much more understandable.
  11. Explain how you were only talking about the length of his contract.
  12. Well I can understand why she's pretty pissed. He sorta took a shot at her gender... sort of uncalled for but whatever. Riv, a win is a win, and a loss is a loss. That's what it comes down to. If the Sox finish 1 game ahead of the Yankees in the final AL East standings this year, this ONE GAME means a shitload.
  13. I don't think Clemens would come back only if he was offered the most money. Finishing his career in Boston is different than any athlete choosing to end their careers somewhere for money. Ending in Boston with a possible world series run would only add to his legacy. Besides, I'm not sure I understand where you're coming from. Why does Damon factor into our liking to having Roger come back?
  14. What's the difference in what you typed between oversigned and overpaid? You did make a comment regarding getting our money's worth.
  15. Rocket was completely different, in my opinion. If either of them deserve the boos, Damon does by far. Even though I don't think either of them deserved them. Oh well, what's done is done. I would love to have Rocket back. I've explained my thoughts on Rocket many times so I'm not going to again, but I never understood why people thought he was a traitor. Boo him for wearing pinstripes sure, but because he's a traitor? No.
  16. I've already started to notice how much more comfortable he seems at the plate now. Remember all of the 3 pitch K's we witnessed earlier? Well, he's been walking now, and even though he still does strikeout a bit, he sees more pitches. He's hitting stuff over the outside of the plate too. I look forward to seeing Wily Mo everytime now. He's no longer a guaranteed K, and he's come through in some clutch situations for us. Last night, with the bases loaded, that's a ball off the wall on a normal night.
  17. This is a joke. Your argument (Boston's_Finest) needs some adjusting.

  19. Why are there so many f***ing double posts? And multiple threads of the same exact thing?

  21. Apparently Damon telling the media that he would never stab us in the back by playing for the Yankees doesn't ring a bell for Foulke.
  22. I'm bumping this. John, it's now next week you know
  23. Well, this doesn't really matter right now considering it says in the article that he's only suspended from IBEF play, not the MLB.
  24. Really? I think he'll get a standing O. I love how Sox and Yanks fans aren't on the same page when it comes to cheering/booing Pedro/Demon.
