  1. Lieber In the NL he's getting killed, a 5.56 ERA with only 3 wins (when you only have 3 wins this far into the season, you can blame yourself). Bring him to the AL East? What are you smoking? I don't care if he did well 2 years ago with the Yankees...he's 36 years old and he's sucking in the national league at the PRESENT.
  2. That was humorous. Apparently BoSox didn't get it. Ok, it's done. I haven't been on in the last few days, but right after the Sox lost yesterday, the first thing I thought about was this thread
  3. Reggie Bush didn't need a line anyway, did you see what he did? Sure, he wasn't swamped, but he made things happen by himself. Besides, they don't have that stiff Brooks in there anymore. They have a reformed Drew Brees throwing to Joe Horn, and a nice 1-2 punch with Bush and McAllister. They're better than last year.
  4. Jason Johnson.... ...wait.
  5. No offense, but you sound like a Yankee fan (minus the whole recent SB thing )
  6. You'll resign Mo. Don't worry about him. For real. If something happens with Tek, because I can't stand watching his performance anymore, then I would like to look into Zaun or Barajas. Pedro Feliz off the bench as well.
  7. Miguel Batista. He can be a setup man or a closer, and with Hansen, that would be a good combination to have. Maybe he would help us move Papelbon to the rotation? Justin Speier as well.
  8. Why the harsh reaction...? He's 83. Give him a break. He's probably cocky so people will take him seriously. In the article it says people were laughing at him.
  9. So, it's sort of like the Renteria/Manny thing?
  10. Hahaha, of course. What a disgrace with the Big Dig. 68 billion dollars and they can't assure our safety. I'm not very well-educated when it comes to the prospects. Do you think the Braves would go for it or would they most likely require a Hansen/Lester/Pedroia-esque 'spect? Obviously, if they inquire about Lester or Hansen I'd say no considering the impact both those players are having for us, but what do you think the lowest their asking price would be?
  11. If we could get Smoltz at the expense of Edgar Martinez, David Pauley and Brandon Moss, what do you guys say? Do you think that would get it done possibly?
  12. He's on the Oakland A's in my MVP Baseball season
  13. This is EXACTLY what I did to my knee this spring. Same exact thing. Ultimately I was able to play the rest of my season without any pain or any restrictions, the only concern is that his knee has the potential to buckle and lock in a less than 90 degree angle, in which case he's f***ed. The good thing is that the arthriscopic surgery that I had is probably the same thing he'll have, except he'll have to have the torn piece removed. They were able to repair my meniscus, but my recovery time is MUCH much longer than if they had just taken the torn piece out. Recovery time for a removal is about 48 hours on crutches, then a few more days getting used to moving your knee around. They were able to repair my meniscus, so my recovery time is about 5-6 months. I've spent 4 weeks on crutches, and I can walk around on Thursday with my leg in a brace which will keep it completely straight. The good thing about this is that Manny can play through this, the bad thing is that if something happens to him while he's playing, it's going to be incredibly painful and he'll have to have the surgery immediately.
  14. Just make Lou Gehrig the winner. There's no point in going through a whole bracket.
  15. Just hire Youk of the Nation as your hitman. He'll go hit McCarver. In fact, you may not need to pay him, he'll just do it himself.
  16. I must say, I've started to see a bit of a turnaround with Tavarez. I thought Seanez would get it together, but I was wrong. Tavarez is actually the one I've been impressed with lately. 4 scoreless innings against the ChiSox in a big situation, props to him for holding down the fort when he needed to.
  17. Oh Lord, Commissioner? Stocker is in a league I started for TalkSox as well. I'm sending PMs out to some people who I think will last the WHOLE season and not tail off just because their team is sucking.
  18. Yes, because we all know it's going to be such a big deal!
  19. Wait what? Hahaha you voted for Tejada, after the HRD?
  20. Hahaha, TMIMM voted for Howard after the Derby was over
  21. Haha yeah I did. It was funny though because he already said it, and then they'd mute it. You can't mute stuff out if it's live, dummies (dummies = ESPN crew).
