  1. f*** Edgerrin James. I needed the total points for tonight's game to stay under 40 points. 39 would have been fine, because I would have won the tie breaker, but now my point total isn't the closest to break the tie. Friggin Urlacher. Bears right back in it.
  2. Irony. I don't know if you even know how to speak the English language. If you do, you're a disgrace to it. One or the other. Jesus Christ, I hate it when people who are full of emotion come here on their first day, take it out on the posters that were here long before them, and in the process look illiterate and just become the term "idiot" that they dish out. It's ridiculous. Anyway, in response to your post... you're not saying anything new. This thread was started because the poison that is the New York media is starting to get on Jeter's case. f*** man, read the thread, which I think you failed to do considering there are 3 pages in this thread and the discussion kind of moved on from what you said. ...by the way, think before you "put up this stupid thing," and understand the nature of the thread before you get on your soapbox. Also, it's easier to read your posts if you use correct grammar and punctuation. People will also take you more seriously. But, after these 5 posts of yours today, I'd be surprised if someone took you seriously.
  3. Delgado continues to show how happy he is to be in the post-season with 5 more RBIs tonight, and Beltran continues to be successful against the Cards with 2 more homers tonight. A final 12-5 Mets' victory. Series tied at 2.
  4. Wouldn't mind him off of the bench. I know Youk isn't the youngest of players, but I still think we are yet to see the best of what he can do given that this year was his first full year. I would love to see Millar back in the clubhouse and only off of the bench or filling in for someone on a day off ... this team doesn't have enough fun anymore. Manny, Ortiz and Wily Mo all have their own connection going on but I don't see the life that the other teams had. Millar is a great fastball pitcher, and he would be great to stick in the lineup late in the game when we need a hit off of a hard throwing pitcher. I will, as well, admit to being one of the people that bashed Millar and called for his head, while simultaneously singing Youk's praises. My crow eating starts at those numbers, I suppose. Good find, SCM33. I'm shocked at those numbers. Didn't realize how similiar they were either. My reaction to your statement was about what MC Hammer's looked like.
  5. The A's didn't have an offense to begin with. The Yankees managed to put together, arguably, the most feared lineup in baseball history.
  6. Argh. The Sox won't know how much money the Yankees have put up, and the Yankees won't know how much the Sox have put up. There's NO competition in a sense. You put up the max amount that you're willing to pay to negotiate with Matsuzaka, and if it isn't the highest, then you don't. That's why they call it BLIND. It's not like the Yanks can see if the Sox put up 20 million to negotiate, then they put up 21 million. It doesn't work like that. Every team just sends in an amount, and whatever the highest is, that's it.
  7. How about the moron that was swinging his helmet around?
  8. Series over. Bonderman has proved he's one of the better starting pitchers in the league (on his way to an elite one, at that) and Haren's been horribly inconsistent. http://www.seasite.niu.edu/thaidict/thailex1/picture/sweep.jpg
  9. Welcome!
  10. Join guys. Last week was great.
  11. Because Bellhorn played half of a year in 2005.
  12. Maybe in general baseball, because it doesn't necessarily pertain just to the Yankees. It affects all of baseball.
  13. They've been merged. It's in general off topic because originally it was off topic before it was known that Lidle was in the plane.
  14. Soxfan, it's actually quite annoying that this is the EIGHTH thread that's been started.
  15. We know. This is the seventh thread that's going to be merged...
  16. That's the first thing that went through my mind. Even though I'm sure it's just a coincidence, it sure is creepy. Condolences to the New York Yankees, his family, his friends, and anyone else he was close to. RIP.

  18. Damn it. I knew it was going to be really low scoring.
  19. That was one of the most idiotic posts I've ever seen. I also honestly thought that you were a Yankee fan based on past posts. EDIT: Also, way to completely hi-jack the thread. I now return you all to your regularly scheduled discussion... the Tigers/Yankees ALDS.

  23. Thank you, mtbykr! Think of this...by taking a few minutes to think of a number, along with bolding team names, you made yourself eligible for a possible $75 this weekend, without costing you a penny. I call it a bargain and totally worth it.
