  1. What are you talking about? Did you not see Wayne trip over his own heel?
  2. I doubt the Colts drop off as much as the Patriots are making it look like.
  3. Samuel tipped it just enough. It always throws you off when someone's hand touches the ball, no matter how light.
  4. Peyton being Peyton Colvin had a nice lick on him too. Just to piss them off even more, he should have done Merriman's untimely "Lights Out" dance like he did last week when he didn't even sack Brady. I would have laughed.
  5. The Colts are just falling apart. I like it
  6. Take that, Colt f***s
  7. I thought you were talking to me because your post was right after mine. My bad.
  8. Where did I say the contact is equal? No where. My point was that soccer can be a pretty demanding sport as well. Of course football is lightyears ahead in contact. I've had 3 concussions and a broken sternum.
  9. Pitching and bad managing lost that game, not Buckner. However, like 700 said, Buckner isn't excused from his record setting LOB debacle. Yes, he got hit way too hard with the fallout and it shouldn't have happened. I also agree with what you said in that he was a key piece to our presence in the world series that year anyway. The Buckner subject never agitated me. It was a terrible moment in Sox history, but I feel that looking back on it, the blame should be placed elsewhere for losing THAT game. Buckner sucked at the plate during the world series, but losing game 6 wasn't his fault.
  10. I play football... I never understood the whole soccer/football rivalry thing. Pretty stupid. The difference is that the bigger kids play football, and the other kids play soccer. There's no talent or toughness differential. While it's a lot easier to get hurt in football considering the game is made to be violent, you have to be pretty aware of your surroundings in soccer as well. Also, animal, not anyone can be good at football. That's just flat out a dumb statement. You have to have an admirable work ethic, and get your mechanics down. The small things are much, much harder than people would think. I'm a lineman, take it from me. People who say it's not hard to be a lineman are plain stupid. You have a different responsibility for EVERY play, and you don't always know what you're going to end up doing or blocking until the moment it happens. If your feet are an inch off of where they're supposed to be, anyone will run you over. So, no, not everyone can play football. The real difference is that an offensive line weighs as much as the 11 kids from one team on a soccer field do. There are 2 linemen on my team that weigh 245, 1 that weighs 260, 1 that weighs 250, and I weigh 255, and none of us are fat and everyone's at least 6'1". Our line alone weighs 1255 pounds. I wonder if the 11 starters on the soccer team combine to weigh that much...
  11. They have to be on the list. They're in the AL.
  12. Doh. I know what you're talking about jackson http://sexci11.orcon.net.nz/roflcopter.jpg
  13. Ok, I'm glad my other voices of reason have showed up
  14. We'll just have to agree to disagree. I consider being scared an equal to being nervous. Being scared strikes nerves, which is what being nervous is. But you're not nervous because it's the Colts, you're nervous because of the playoffs. You have no fear of the Colts, do you? I know you're not guaranteeing victory, you've said it a lot. But it's for damn sure that you sound like you expect it. Thus, if the Colts beat us, you're going to be shocked. Someone who isn't scared of a team that beats his team is always shocked. This is what you're setting yourself up for, whether you see it or not. I'm with you, I want the Pats to win, and I do think they have a better chance to win this game. But you can't ignore what the Colts can accomplish. The Pats don't have every advantage, which is what you're trying to make it sound like. They have a lot, but as do the Colts. I guess the difference between me and you is that I don't expect victory, it seems like you do. It's unhealthy to expect it.
  15. Another big game in Buffalo tonight. If the B's can keep it close after the SO win two days ago, I'll be a happy camper.
  16. That's not as big of an "if" as you may like it to be. If you're not nervous, to each his own, but you're setting yourself up for some big disappointment if you think this game is heavily in the Patriots' favor.
  17. It looked cocky because you completely ignored the fact that the Colts have just as much going for them as the Pats do. And you pretty much ignored any stat that benefits the Colts. Those stats are there as well. You can't just look at the fact that teams don't beat Belichick twice, and look at Brady's record in a dome, and be satisfied. What happened last year with the Broncos? Let me remind you. We lost to them in the regular season. Who knocked us out of the playoffs? The Broncos. Who did the Patriots lose to IN FOXBORO this year? The Colts. Who are the Patriots about to play in the playoffs IN INDIANAPOLIS this time? The Colts. This could be just like last year. You look at Tom Brady in a dome and think he'll have a huge game, but last time I checked, the Colts as a UNIT are made to play in a dome. I still think the Pats will win, but you can't ignore these things.
  18. I find it funny that Skip put the Patriots as the 2nd best team in the AFC behind San Diego, and now Indianapolis is going to have a field day against us? What kind of back tracking is that?
  19. I'm thoroughly aware that he's a difference maker. I've already stated that I'm scared of him. Where'd you hear about Rodney's partially torn ACL? That was a rumor that was flying around and Rodney's agent said something along the lines of this: "I'm not an expert doctor, but he does not have anywhere near a torn ACL. It's just strained and he's working hard to be back by Sunday."
  20. Good post. Pretty much what I've been saying to the Pats fans who have pretty much turned cocky themselves. Let me tell you something, guys, if the Pats play anywhere close to how they played this past Sunday the Colts will embarrass us with 50 points on the board. And you better believe they won't care how much it embarrasses us. The only thing, Kilo, is that Law was out with a broken foot, since the regular season Steelers game, for that divisional round against the Colts when the Pats won 20-3. Law didn't touch the field.
