  1. I think it's safe to say that the Tampa Bay Devil Rays could win the NL West.
  2. Buckner didn't cost the Red Sox the world series that year, and there's no reason that he ever needed to be forgiven...
  3. No. It's the other way around. Most pitchers do well when they switch leagues until the batters figure them out. Case in point? Bronson Arroyo.
  4. The first thing I noticed in the second picture is that ugly ass score
  5. Well, taking Samardzija would be pretty stupid considering he already signed a contract with the Chicago Cubs...
  6. When were you 4?
  7. Great news. Bobby Murcer says he's doing "fabulous" and hopes to be back in the booth for '07: Linky.
  8. rsr, when did you become a 49ers fan?
  9. That exchange =
  10. Or ... *gasp* the Yankees?
  11. Is there a seperate prize if someone correctly guesses the point total? If not, it's pointless for me to enter, so I was just wondering if it was worth filling out a template.
  12. Delucci is a great guy to have as a number 9 hitter or a leadoff hitter (won't be in Cleveland with Sizemore though), even a number 2. I doubt he would accept a backup role on the Guardians. Trot will be coming off of the bench and be giving Blake or Delucci a break every now and then. If you want to keep Trot healthy then you don't start him every game.
  13. Yeah, I took it as tongue in cheek as well. There are too many things that could be said to refute what he said. But, I was waiting for that comment as well
  14. Yeah, they had the same trouble during the regular season the game. They just didn't run enough for some reason. Anyway, I believe that the thing that killed us more than anything was the "12 men in the huddle" penalty. That was completely uncharacteristic and we ended up being 4 yards short of a first down, forcing us to punt that drive away. It really irritated me. If we converted that first down we're most likely talking about a different AFC team in the superbowl right now.
  15. It's kind of amazing how the "defense just gave out." It was definitely more like "the Colts just kicked our asses." They came out, and wanted it more. It's that easy. We didn't necessarily choke, as we still put up 13 2nd half points...it's just that the Colts scored 32! Peyton and the Colts completely deserved what they accomplished last night, and they whooped our asses. It's as simple as that. The Colts deserve the credit more than the Patriots deserve the blame. The Colts were just simply super-human last night.
  16. Wait! Rex Grossman was a Florida Gator...Peyton Manning couldn't beat the Gators while at Tennessee...WHAT A STORY! [/attempt to make a big deal out of a stupid storyline]
  17. Yeah, my cousins are on the team and have no idea what the hell's going wrong. I don't think Jerry has any idea, either.
  18. Won't draw heat from me. When the Colts won last night that's immediately what I started to think. I hope it's not true ... but I can't help but think it's possible.
  19. No, we do. I'm just saying that it's frustrating to watch some of our fans be sour for too long about this. We've been here before and we shouldn't be that upset about losing. You have to look at all the success we've had, and realize that it just doesn't continue. The glory days are most likely coming to an end, and these endings are going to become a lot more common.
  20. Totally agree. I'm going to go bat s*** if I see one Pats fan complain about this game. We've won 3 superbowls in 6 years. Do you think that a 4th superbowl APPEARANCE out of 6 years was likely? Get a grip guys. The Pats won't lost much of a step from this year, they'll get healthier, and the young guys will be better. It's going to be another hell of a year next year. Think about it, if the Pats won the superbowl this year they would have won 4 of the record 5 superbowls, in a span of 6 years. This just doesn't happen. You guys have got to come around and realize that the glory days are coming to an end. We had our ride, and nows the point where we endure some heartache. It's other teams' turns this time.
  21. First off, hats off to Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts. What a GREAT comeback win. As much as I hate Peyton Manning and the Colts, they totally deserved it. I'm glad Peyton finally gets his shot, but I will be rooting for the Bears, it's just the nature of a Patriots fan. As for Tom Brady ... I was pretty disappointed in him. It looked like he pulled an LT and went to the locker room early. I hope I'm wrong, but I missed the handshake as well. And you sure as hell know that the media would have been all around it. It looked like Manning was looking for Brady in the crowd... The Patriots never had a chance in the second half. Peyton Manning totally deserves this chance at the superbowl. I hate the guy, but my God do I respect him. He totally bounced back from the INT in the first half and looked like the Manning that Colts fans have come to love. The guy is, in my eyes, the best quarterback in the NFL (and that's coming from a Pats fan...). And I agree with what's been said. If Peyton wins this superbowl he's the best quarterback the NFL has EVER seen. As for Caldwell...yeah he had a pretty s***** game, but he's a keeper. If not for him, we wouldn't have even been playing today, and the Jets probably would have been AFC East champions. I expect and want to see him back in a Patriots uniform, along with Jabar Gaffney and Chad Jackson. I don't know if they'll bring Brown back, but if they do, he's their insurance option and 4th receiver. People need to get off BB's case. For f***'s sake he hugged Dungy and acknowledged Manning. It may have looked a little insincere, but he'll probably make up for it in a press conference or a private telephone call. With that being said, congrats to the Colts (you bastards), and go Bears!
  22. That's not what caused him to fall to the ground.
