  3. No, don't hire him as a bench coach. Brad Mills did a great job last night.
  4. I love that Dirty Water.
  5. I think it's time to start the Brad Mills for manager campaign. He's made all the right moves tonight.
  6. Manny CRUSHES the RBI double to give the Sox a 6-5 lead!!! oops I guess it was so nice i had to post it twice
  7. Manny CRUSHES the RBI double to give the Sox a 6-5 lead!!!
  8. It says October 2 Any way, big stolen base there by Damon and now 2 guys on for Manny.
  9. I thought it was next week.
  10. No Millar, No Tito. There's no way we can lose. There's no one left to blame it on.
  11. The only guys i truly hate in TV commercials is the "baby New York guy" and the great actor known as Kevin Millar.
  12. This thread may be about to get a little more active.
  13. They lost 17-14.
  14. Lineups Yankees Jeter SS Rodriguez 3B Sheffield RF Matsui LF Williams DH Posada C Olerud 1B Cairo 2B Lofton CF Red Sox Damon CF Bellhorn 2B Ramirez LF Ortiz DH Millar 1B Nixon RF Mirabelli C Cabrera SS Mueller 3B
  15. I think it's because Tampa complained because they wouldn't let Zimmer in the dugout, not sure if this is true though.
  16. I don't think momentum really has anything to do with it, last year we lost the first 2 games against Oakland and we had 0 momentum whatsoever and then we pull off 3 games with no momentum.
  17. You never know. If we sweep the Yankees, then we close to within 1.5 of them. They then play a very tough team in Minnesota while we play Tampa, who we usually handle in Tampa Bay, but if we lose 1 game against the Yankees I agree the division is out of reach.
  18. Lineups Yankees Jeter SS Rodriguez 3B Sheffield RF Matsui LF Williams CF Posada C Sierra DH Olerud 1B Cairo 2B Red Sox Damon CF Bellhorn 2B Ramirez LF Ortiz DH Millar 1B Nixon RF Varitek C Cabrera SS Mueller 3B
  19. 1.Curt 2.Pedro 3.Lowe 4.Arroyo 5.Wakefield I would put Lowe ahead of Arroyo, probably based on playoff experience, as Lowe really shined in the divisional series against Oakland. I still think Wakefield can do really well against the Yankees, but my opinion may change depending on how he does on Saturday, but I think you have to use him a lot in middle relief against them in the playoffs.
  20. Wagner has had an off year, but when he is on, he has some of the best stuff I've seen from a closer. I personally don't think Foulke is worse than Cordero as Cordero really hasn't impressed me that much this year and I think he needs to prove himself for at least another year before I'd put him ahead of Foulke.
  21. Gagne won the Cy Young award last year, Foulke didn't. Gagne is definitely a better closer.
  22. Well we may not have won last night's game if he still was.
  23. Lineups (They were posted very early today) Orioles Roberts 2B Newhan RF Mora 3B Tejada SS Surhoff LF J.Lopez DH Bigbie CF Gil C Gibbons 1B Red Sox Roberts CF Cabrera SS Ramirez LF Ortiz DH Millar RF Varitek C Mientkiewicz 1B Mueller 3B Reese 2B
  24. ESPN did a "Baseball Tonight Switched" where analyst Harold Reynolds switched jobs with Kelly Barons (ball girl) and Pookie Jackson, who is the Red Sox clubhouse attendant, for a day. Kelly seemed to know what she was talking about on the show.
  25. I think it could possibly a matter of frustration. On the last 2 home runs there have been questionable calls on the pitch before which would have been strike 3 instead the batters got another chance in which they hit homeruns. Foulke's only had 3 bad pitches if he was walking people all over the place and throwing 85 mph meatballs down the heart of the plate, I would be concerned but he's not, so I think he'll overcome this.
