  1. The 2 sides are believed to have an agreement, with the contract being 1 year worth 1.5 million.
  2. Yeah I post over there when they're dissing the Red Sox, like yesterday they were calling Fenway a piece of s***. So I asked what did that make Yankee Stadium.
  3. Yeah I'm getting the NESN one as well.
  4. I think that price is about the price that most teams would of spent to acquire Guillen. Rivera had a good year with Montreal and Arizona may be interested in acquiring Izturis, so that the Angels can trade for Randy Johnson.
  5. It was in the NY Post and the Boston Globe.
  6. ESPN is reporting that Troy Percival has signed a 2 year deal with the Detroit Tigers.
  7. That was great.
  8. Peter Gammons has reported that Anaheim will offer Varitek a 4 year deal in the 9 million per year range.
  9. Vinny Castilla and Cristian Guzman have signed with Washington.
  10. This is how I thought the voting would turn out. Vlad really deserves it because he almost single-handedly lifted the Angels into the playoffs, while Sheff, Manny and Ortiz had plenty of help.
  11. Well it could have been Curt.
  12. I think we'll sign Vizquel or Larkin as a bridge to Hanley.
  13. I think Schneider also has an advantage on defense than Shoppach. Schneider's numbers this year were somewhat close to Varitek's, but I don't think we should give up Minky and Youks.
  14. Yeah but I doubt that the rumor has any credibility.
  15. According to ESPN's Peter Gammons, the Red Sox have given up on re-signing Jason Varitek and are talking to the Expos about acquiring Brian Schneider. (Rotoworld) Schnieder is one of the best defensive catchers in the game, but Gammons said that the deal may be Mientkiewicz and Youkilis for Schnieder. I think that's a little too much to give up for Schneider. It would give us money to sign FA's like Pavano or Glaus, but Rotoworld says that it could be a negotiationing ploy since they believe that there is no way that Varitek will get 5 years from a team.
  16. Don't we already have Fast Reply on this board. Anyway, I don't think it's a good idea because there aren't as many missed calls anymore. If there is a questionable call the umps are huddling up and are getting the calls right like in Game 6. I don't think that 4 umpires would miss the same call, unless only one umpire had a clear look at it.

  18. Maybe this one works. http://www.csulb.edu/%7Eehobbs/papijapanblast.mpeg
  19. When I click it, it works. EDIT: It seems dead to me, I'll try to dig up another one.
  20. I don't know how to get it on Yahoo, I got the link from another site.
  21. Video of Papi HR http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/bc/bdf7286/bc/Red...C0_YjBBo9rSVBd3
  22. I don't think we'd sign Pedro and Pavano, if we signed Pedro we would most likely go after a cheap 4th or 5th starter.
  23. I don't think he'll accept this one, but I think the Red Sox will offer another contract.
  24. The Red Sox have offered Pedro Martinez a two-year, $25.5 million contract with a $13 million option for 2007, the Boston Globe reports. That basically matches the deal Curt Schilling signed last year. According to the Globe, Martinez left the offer on the table for now. It's likely that the Red Sox will have to guarantee the third year if they want to keep him. (Rotoworld)
  25. I think so there wasn't really a lot of competition this year. But if Cabrera had played in the AL all year, he would definitely merit consideration.
