  1. He is not eligible for postseason play, but only for the series against the Yankees. 2 minor leaguers went to the Nats in return. Discuss.
  2. Amos Zeroue has been signed to replace Faulk.
  3. In all fairness the article says that Red Sox ones are on sale too. However this little snippet from the Globe this morning perturbed me a little. Suite offers from Yankees Club had playoff plans all in place By Chris Snow, Globe Staff | September 27, 2005 The Yankees, in a letter issued on or before Sept. 19, notified suite holders of 2005 postseason ticket information. The memo's opening line? ''The New York Yankees are entering the post season for the eleventh consecutive year." The Yankees, as of Sept. 19, trailed the Red Sox by a half-game in the American League East. In case you're curious, Hall of Fame suites -- which include 18 to 30 tickets per game -- are located on the loge level at Yankee Stadium. Infield suites, the most expensive type, cost $17,500 for the American League Division Series.
  4. Well if we could beat the Steelers without him, then there is no doubt in my mind that we are still Super Bowl contenders. The news isn't too surprising for me, I pretty much expected the worse after watching him go down yesterday.
  5. I agree with Schilling, they're both incomparable. 2 different sports, 2 different jobs. Why does there even have to be a debate. Both guys dominate in the clutch when they're supposed to. They're both great. Let's leave it at that.
  6. Yeah big ups to Givens today, he had a career high in receiving yards today which may have been overshadowed a little bit. I just looked up and on the stat screen it said Givens had over 100 yards and I was like where the f*** did that come from. I think everything I have to say about Brady and Vinatieri have been said already, just players doing their jobs. Defensive line was huge today as well, Seymour had 2 sacks and Roethlisberger had pressure on him all day, which accounted for his dreadful numbers. Without that 85 yard pass to Ward the Steelers have under 200 yards of offense. I was also glad about the improvement of the penalties in Pittsburgh, they showed today that the crowd was not a factor to them and limited the false starts.
  7. Ballgame. Woo.
  8. It's Von Oelhoffen, you learn the spelling pretty well when you play with the Steelers on Madden all the time.
  9. Yankees are playing the same pathetic team we just demolished, there is no way that the Sox will have it wrapped up by then.
  10. Some mascots like that turd Youppi up in Montreal, purposely impede you from watching the game. I went to 2 games in Montreal, and we had 1st row seats, where there's a large aisle, that people use to get around the park similar to Fenway. So in the 1st game, Youppi just stood right in front of me and talked to fans right in front of my seat so I couldn't see the game. I politely asked him to move, and he did after a couple minutes. We go again the next night, with the same seats, and all of a sudden he stands literally 2 inches away from me on this rail which was right in front of us and starts clapping his hands to get the "crowd fired up". But it was like he remembered me and was trying to piss me off.
  11. I agree with Boogie after going through the thread. There haven't been many Cuban defectors who have found too much success in the bigs and he was just pointing that out. That doesn't mean he's racist or anything, because history has shown that Cubans haven't had much success in the bigs, if he was racist he would of labelled all latinos, instead of just Cubans.
  12. Well you came back after a few days of dead discussion, to purposely bring this up again. So if you want to leave the racist card at home you didn't need to respond again.
  13. Why you gotta be like this awesome.
  14. Not anymore. He was on the path there, but the last 3 years have done some serious damage to that.
  15. To show how dominant I am at picking games.
  16. Um it's all in pure fun, personally I hate all mascots of any professional sport, I think they're fine in college. But just for doing that doesn't mean he's an *******, I thought it was pretty funny actually.
  17. Fancy double play turned by Graffanino and Renteria, I wonder how the groin is after that one.
  18. 1st hit of the game for the O's.
  19. Carolina over Miami Minnesota over New Orleans Jacksonville over New York Jets Philadelphia over Oakland Buffalo over Atlanta Cincinnati over Chicago Tampa Bay over Green Bay Indianapolis over Cleveland St. Louis over Tennessee Dallas over San Francisco Seattle over Arizona Pittsburgh over New England San Diego over New York Giants Kansas City over Denver
  20. If someone died, they'd still be questionable with Belichick. I doubt there's anything new to report.
  21. Very familiar...
