  1. My first Final four team is out. I really need UConn to lose either to Kentucky here or next game against Washington.
  2. Bronson pitched for the Sox. Manny hit a homer in the victory.
  3. We've had long discussions about this. I'll merge it with the other thread.
  4. I wrote down Pitt to the Elite 8 on my original bracket, but I must have put down Memphis by mistake. Oh well. How does a Bucknell-Bradley Sweet 16 matchup sound right now?
  5. I think he meant Millwood has good stats against the Sox and Schill has good starts against Texas.
  6. Yeah exactly. I just e-mailed the story to Gordon Edes about an hour ago seeing if he knew anything about Gonzalez. I'm hoping to get a response to either deny it or either have my name mentioned in his blog if it is accurate.
  7. Until I find more proof that this deal is real, I'm merging this with the thread in Rumor Mill.
  8. haha, i used freetranslation.com to translate the article into English and what it spit out was quite funny. FINALLY THE toletero Juan 'Igor' Gonz?lez obtained the opportunity that so much was expecting. The strong one jonronero vegabaje?o received yesterday an invitation al training camp of the Red Averages of Boston, confirmed its agent Alan Nero. “Some moments ago we arrive at a verbal agreement with the Red Averages and Juan will be reported al training camp in Fort Myers Monday (ma?ana)”, said Nero, regular agent of the firm MCSG Sports, in telephone interview with The New Day. Nero explained that its client will be going to treat to be gained a space in the roster of the Red Averages. “Is a contract of smaller league. Juan only is going to have 10 days before beginning the season to try to do the team, for which a high possibility exists that after comience the season remain in the training camp extended or go to Triple TO (Pawtucket) a time in which the team understands that is ready for play in the Large Leagues. But Juan has worked very hard and he is in a great condition”, he said Nero. “Juan will have the opportunity to gain to $1,000,000. All depends on as much as time be in the Large Leagues ”, added. Gonz?lez, maximum jonronero puerto rican in the Greater and ninth among the active players with 434 bambinazos, has been lost for diverse wounds the trifle of 462 parties in the past four seasons. Last year, a tear in the 'hamstring' limited its action to only a shift al bat with the Guardians of Cleveland. “This is a good opportunity for Juan. What has to test he is that he is healthy. Ten days can be very little time to seek to be gained a space, but him do not we want to put pressure. Therefore is that the possibility exists that can be a time in smaller league”, maintained Nero. Gonz?lez, of 36 years, has been coaching during several weeks in the municipal park of Toa Low. There it was evaluated last month by the Cubs of Chicago and this week by personnel of the Guards of Texas and the Red Averages. The Red Averages count in the left forest with the stellar one Manny Ram?rez, who during them you passed years has had a stormy relation with the management of the team and has requested a change in several occasions. The right gardener is Trot Nixon, a productive player but prone to wounds. With the team also they are seeking a space the veteran gardeners Ron Callaway and Gabe Kapler. The batter appointed is David Ortiz, one of the players franchise of the Red Averages. Gonz?lez was a leader in home runs in the American League in the seasons 1992 and 1993 and More Valuable Player of that circuit in the campaigns 1996 and 1998, Latin-American only player in achieving it.
  9. I don't think it has anything to do with whether he's played for the Yankees or not, it's just that the majority of the people here think that his best years are behind him and that it would be a waste of a roster spot either here or in Pawtucket. I mean if a MLB team thought that he could make a valuable contribution don't you think they wouldn't hae waited until March 19 to sign him. No one has signed him yet and I think the Globe or the Herald would have a better scoop on the story than some Spanish newspaper.
  10. You know I don't speak Spanish, in English please. What? You pooped in the refrigerator and you ate a whole wheel of cheese. I'm not even mad. That's amazing.
  11. Optimists, I would have been looking for another starter but no one on your team really interests me, at least no one which I'd be able to trade Cano for.
  12. See how under your name it says Double A, well if you win the league then you win the opportunity to put whatever you want under your name, like how you see some other people like myself, YanksHater, RSR, jsinger etc.

  15. I liked him in Pirates of the Carribean but he was a terrible choice for Willy Wonka.
  16. I had MSU only winning against G Mason so it doesn't upset me too much. My upset special tonight is the Kansas-Bradley game. If Bradley wins I'll be so pumped I won't even know what to do.
  17. Damn Georgetown just beat Northern Iowa. That cuts the lead down to 1 and if Kansas wins tonight then it should be all even or I'll be behind depending on other games by the end of the night.
  18. A 3-1 start in today's early games have given me a 2 game lead over the field with 15 of my Sweet 16 still alive. I'm feeling pretty confident right now but a lot can change over the weekend.
  19. I only had Iowa winning this game so that's good news for me.
  20. Standings after Day 1 of the tournament 1. Stocker323- 14 1. One Red Seat- 14 3. Red Ruffing 15- 13 3. jsinger121- 13 3. ACL BoSox- 13 3. YanksHater213- 13 3. MANNYHOF24- 13 3. spartans- 13 9. 21. Zaga will win next round if only because they have to face Indiana next round. I think they have a relatively easy road. I see Bama upsetting UCLA and then Zaga beating Pitt in the regional finals. GW's got 0 chance against Duke.
  22. He's MaxxAttack in the league.
  23. jsinger and spartans the only ones with a perfect bracket through the first 3 games. BC barely pulls their game out barely in double OT. They dominated in the 2nd OT but for a while in the 1st OT it looked like they were done.
  24. http://cache.boston.com/bonzai-fba/AP_Photo/2006/03/15/1142471106_2603.jpg Ugh.
  25. That first half in Boston the other night was the best shooting display I have seen in person. Now I don't go to too many bball games, but that half of basketball was special regardless of whether they won the game or not.
