    I like the suspense of this ESPN GameCast. You don't know what's going to happen when the ball gets into play compared to MLB GameDay where while still suspenseful you know whether it's going to be a run scoring play or not.

    Oh boy GameDay just changed the Sox game from Delay to Warmup. This thing must be starting pretty soon.

    I think I'm at 800x600 but I just changed it and everything looks so much better. I don't even have to really use the horizontal scroll bar at this site anymore. Thanks for the tip. The font and everything is now smaller so I guess it'll take a while to get used to but I like it so far.

    Well I guess that if you can't make a thread in the middle of a winning streak you kind of lose your priority so to speak.

    The ESPN Gamecast doesn't really work too well with my firefox. I can't resize the window so I cant really see the "home plate" and the right side of my window is cut off. It also seems that there may be a little too much going on and there's nothing really there that MLB GameDay doesn't bring you, so I think I'll continue to use that.

    I agree with ORS, that's the way SOSH does it to. I say you make it until they lose and if the person hasn't made it within 3 hours of the game then it's up for grabs.

    I had but I kind of stopped doing it after awhile because I didn't know anyone but me cared about that kind of stuff. All I know was that I was about 10 games under .500 or something like that.

    No you are absolutely WRONG!!! http://www.baseball-almanac.com/feats/feats-streak.shtml Rule 10.24 of the Major League Baseball Official Rule Book states the following guidelines for cumulative performance records (specifically those dealing with hitting streaks): A consecutive hitting streak shall not be terminated if the plate appearance results in a base on balls, hit batsman, defensive interference or a sacrifice bunt. A sacrifice fly shall terminate the streak. Consecutive Game Hitting Streaks: A consecutive game hitting streak shall not be terminated if all the player's plate appearances (one or more) result in a base on balls, hit batsman, defensive interference or a sacrifice bunt.

    I think if he had undergone knee surgery in the offseason of 04, he'd be a totally different guy. He elected not to undergo the surgery and he hasn't been the same pitcher since.

    I agree. Papelbon is not a closer for the long term. I hope the plan is for Papelbon to close until Hansen is ready. Whether that day is in a couple months or at the beginning of 07 does not matter, but after tonight I think we're done seeing Foulke as a closer.

    I like Papelbon as a closer at least until we acquire someone who can get the job done, which it doesn't look as if anyone in the current bullpen can do. This all could change though after I see a few starts from Clement.

    Loe didn't start against the Sox last year. He pitched a couple times in relief however.
