  1. -3 rushing yards and they're still having a great game...
  2. Mine are pretty much spot on with a few exceptions so far, granted it's still 3-5 games into the season. Orlando and Philly just got off to a slow start, they're too good not to be there in the end. Spurs aren't looking too hot, needed 2 OT and a MJ-like game from Tony Parker (55/7/10) to get their first win, I still think they'll grab a 7 or 8. My only bad prediction was the Clippers. Baron and Camby have been banged up, and the team as a whole has started out real slow, but Thornton looks great, and give them some time, it's possible they can grab a low seed. Edit: Oh and I told you Atlanta could play... they've got wins @ Orlando, @ New Orleans, and vs. Philly.
  3. Mind me if this is posted somewhere else, but holy s***... http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/baseball/red_sox/view.bg?articleid=1130175&srvc=sports&position=0 4 years 52 million?!?!
  4. Watching the Rockets last night, I think people are looking too much at how sexy of a pick they look like on paper. -Kendrick f***in Perkins made Yao look like George Muresan. Yao looked to me even slower, and playing in the Olympics will only hurt him in the long run. He got rejected by Perkins on a fadeaway turn around "jumper", and got rejected by the rim shortly after. -McGrady made no effort on the defensive end. When I say made no effort, it's not even an exaggeration. When Ray would drive, if he had even a half of a step on him, T-Mac would just stand there and depend on the help defense (which was nowhere to be found). Adelman finally switched it up and put Artest on Allen with a few minutes left in the game. He's going to get hurt sooner or later, made an unnecessary dive into the stands that he could have gotten really hurt on, and was grabbing his knee after a huge flop and TERRIBLE call by Scott Foster. -Artest isn't the type of player that can carry a team. He's not consistent enough on a nightly basis to carry the Rockets when McGrady and Yao don't show up or get hurt. -This is a team that needs Battier back BADLY.
  5. I don't think the Rockets will get past the first round, again. They kept it close with the Celtics tonight, but I still don't see any way they'll do it. McGrady took a beating tonight, and looked HORRIBLE on the defensive end. Yao looks even slower than in years past, got rejected by the rim not once but twice. If they're going to do anything, it's going to be on the back of Artest, and not either of those two guys.
  6. The Spurs look HORRENDOUS as well. They need Ginobili back in a terrible way. Even then, I'm not sure how well they can do with him in there, that's how truly bad they've looked.
  7. You obviously didn't watch the playoffs last year. He was great vs. the Celtics AND Orlando. He may not be a solid 1, but he's a great combo guard who can take the ball up if you need him to. The kid has an insane motor, and it doesn't stop. Add in his size, which is good for a combo-guard, and his defensive talents, and he's going to be a hell of a player for Detroit in the future.
  8. I think Howard and Redd will forego their options, first and foremost. I think Bosh and Wade will re-up themselves as well, and I could see Johnson being dealt to a contender if Atlanta flops. And I wouldn't say their in a ditch. It's a win/win situation. I don't think they were winning with their previous roster, and they obviously needed to shake something up. If Iverson works out, terrific. If he doesn't they just don't bring him back. It's not really too difficult of a concept. The more I think about this, the more I like it for the Pistons.
  9. I hate this deal for this year if I'm the Pistons. Billups is a matchup nightmare for most of the East's best teams PGs (Rondo, Williams, Nelson, etc. with the exception of Andre Miller). Losing McDyess AND Samb shoots down any big man depth they had. They're going to have to deal with putting even more added pressure on Johnson, who is nowhere near ready at this point. Iverson will give some scoring and excitement, but I don't think it makes them as much better as some people are making it out to be.
  10. The way I'm looking at it, if Cassel improves, the wins will come. I'd much rather see us lose a close game right now with Cassel looking good, as opposed to Cassel leveling off and being inconsistent the rest of the way. Despite the loss, I'm real happy where this team stands as of right now.
  11. CUT DAVID THOMAS.
  12. This Packers/Titans game has been real close so far. Great game. Hopefully the Packers pull this out.
  13. This isn't even really somethign that's arguable... it just depends on what your opinion is of a "cy young pitcher"... I felt like Sabathia pitched so dominantly for a sustained enough period of time to warrant the award. If Sabathia doesn't win it, it should absolutely be Lincecum second... if he doesn't win it this year, he's got one to come soon.
  14. I'm taking Sabathia. People can talk all day about how he didn't pitch a full season in the NL and blah blah blah, but IMO he was so dominant that he should deserve it. Do I think he'll win? Nope. But he's who I'd vote for.
  15. (Not Devil's Advocate) His numbers decreased as the year went down and Texas was under .500 and 21 games back of the Angels.
  16. guy is a straight up dirtbag
  17. It was a post that I made on a basketball forum I also frequent, I just copied it over here without realizing that I was responding to someone else's post over there. Easily was one of my top 5 favorite moments as a Boston sports fan and as a Celtics fan.
  18. Awesome game to be at. The ceremony was awesome, loved every second of it. As for Pierce crying... you guys can't say s***. The s*** that he's gone to in order to get to that point in his career, coupled with his connection with the city, it was an awesome moment. It was also nice to see that Doc probably got one of the biggest ovations from anyone when he got his ring. As for the game itself, Powe, Rondo, and Allen were GREAT tonight. If those 3 guys can sustain a level of play like that this year, we have an amazing shot at taking another championship. Great to see a big win vs. another Eastern heavyweight, especially with Garnett and Allen both shooting the ball pretty poorly.
  19. You can find cheap Bruins tickets, but not Celtics tickets. Thankfully my Dad has a box through his company, so I'll be able to get a few games here and there. I've got tickets tonight though, it's going to be awesome.
  20. I disagree with the picks. One was off a deflection, and the other was off of Welker tripping, so they weren't totally his fault. That being said, I give the guy a B+/A- on the day. He took much less sacks, read through most of his progressions and didn't just eye one guy the whole time, and really stepped up into the pocket when pressure came. I thought he looked GREAT out there today.
  21. finally getting another win under my belt...
  22. I'm glad he pitched through it, tried his absolute hardest, and made no excuses if he didn't pitch well. The guy has balls, and is a warrior. Get healthy, get back to mowing people down next year.
  23. yeah orange is peach unless it was red and he thought it was orange in which case it'd be cherry
