  1. looch is killing it right now
  2. fack I don't get versus at school so I've been looking all over the place for tickets to the game. Just my luck, it's f***ing sold out. For the last 5 years I've had no trouble getting to tickets any time I want, so it's unfortunate that this city has to be filled with bandwagoning f***s, and corporate *******s who buy up all the seats to impress customers... My dad has a lot of connections with premium seating, and that's even "sold out" which I find impossible.
  3. Pop is the most intimidating coach in the NBA because of that, I love it. The Spurs are aging, yes, but Pop has been and will continue to give Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili nights off so they stay fresh. Duncan is playing awesome ball this year, flying way too far under the radar for a top 3 (maybe best) PF all-time.
  4. People are so quick to write the Lakers in, they forget how good the Spurs are. They're resting Duncan, Manu, and Parker, and they'll be fresh this year, plus their supporting cast is better than it has been in years past. Bonner is a very underrated offensive player (although he can be picked on defensively), Mason is extremely underrated as well, plus these guys have the experience working for them. I think in a series vs. the Lakers, the Spurs team defense can limit Kobe enough, Duncan and Parker will be able to pick apart Fisher and Gasol, and Ginobili will only have to deal with Walton and Ariza. Plus they have the best coach in the game by far. I can see the Spurs taking out the Lakers in 7...
  5. People love to harp on LeBron because of his lack of a jumper... big f***ing deal. The man is 6'8, 275 (at least), he's bigger than most players in the NFL. He's the most athletic player in the NBA by light-years, he can get to the rim at will. He can go from the 3 point line to the rim in one dribble. He's the best player in the NBA by a mile right now. He could score 50 any night he wants, he could get a triple double whenever he wants. The scary thing about him though, is that this year, he's turned his defense up 20 notches, the guy is quietly becoming an elite defender. People who hate on him are just jealous of his other-worldly skills or something... I used to hate on him like everyone else, but he's the best player we've seen since Jordan, easily.
  6. This. I think Boston still could potentially beat Cleveland in a 7 game series if everything goes their way. LeBron is just too good and his supporting cast goes too deep. I think they win the NBA Championship, no series goes more than 6 games. They'll roll through the C's in the ECF and the Spurs in the Finals.
  7. Cleveland San Antonio Boston/LA
  8. I don't see houw peeople are omitting Jerry West.
  9. First off, I read an article that said LeBron is somewhere between 260 and 275, but I think he's closer to 275-280. The guy is a beast. Just one title, he'll be a top ten player regardless. Two titles he's top 5. Three he's top 3, maybe GOAT. Any more than 3 and sorry MJ.
  10. If LeBron even sniffs, let alone beats Jordan's six titles, LeBron goes down as the GOAT, IMO. Right now, this is my order: Jordan Chamberlain Abdul-Jabbar Bird Magic Russel Dr. J West Shaq Oscar Robinson I wouldn't put Hakeen on the list over a guy like West or Robinson.
  11. I personally don't think Cassel is worth 2 first round picks, but the way the market is going right now for quarterbacks, and the amount of teams who need a good young QB, we should be able to get 2 firsts. If no one will take him now, I'm sure some team will by Week 6.
  12. I honestly thought they were going to run a play either the same as the other day vs. Philly, or similar to the one they did (look for Eddie/Pierce running free, not open so inbound to Davis who came off a pick for Pierce, hand off to Allen to create his own shot). Doc got predictable, and the Lakers overloaded the perimeter like they should have. Looking at the replay, Fisher kind of hooked Allen, but it's an excusable no call, it was a good veteran play I guess.
  13. It was questionable but they were calling the ticky tacky calls consistently all night, so I don't really have a gripe in it. If the refs let them play more, Garnett wouldn't have fouled out, Davis wouldn't have been in playing like a bum in the last 2 minutes then overtime, and I think we would have won.
  14. I'm expecting a brawl tonight
  15. A lot of the Lakers fans I know are saying the 8-12 is conservative because of how everyone was duped into thinking he'd be back last year, and it should be more like 4-6. Lol @ those people who say that. MCL takes somewhere between 6-10 weeks to be healthy, and then 2-4 weeks to regain full speed, and that's barring no complications or setbacks. It wouldn't surprise me to see him back come playoff time, Bynum won't play like he did earlier this year until next season at the earliest.
  16. Those jerseys made me feel like I was playing Where's Waldo for morons.
  17. Agree, I also though that play by Kostopoulos after that whistle was pretty dirty too. I swear to god I thought Montreal was going come out of that with a PP, thank god the refs got it right there, because they had an atrocious game. It seems like every time we're in Montreal, every borderline call goes their way...
  18. Thanks... got me some nice numbers
  19. Wake and Duke on ESPN right now... this game has been awesome so far. Wake is looking awesome. Great defense being played. 24-18 Wake with 5 and change left in the first.
  20. Only reason I dislike Duke this year is because they still largely rely on the jumpshot. Zoubek isn't reliable enough to run plays to him in the post, and Henderson can't take it to the rack every time. Singler can play, I just don't think jumpshooting teams fare well in March. Duke wouldn't surprise me though. This is the best team they've had in a while.
  21. If you put a gun to my head and told me to pick who will be champ come March, I'd say UConn, but I've been drooling all over Wake Forest this year. Teague is a special, special player, and Aminu is one of the best players in the country as a freshman.
  22. Eh... it's splitting hairs I guess. The SEC is pretty weak this year, IMO, and none of these teams will have an impact come March. They all have big problems with some part of their squad. We'll see what happens, and anything can happen, and I honestly wouldn't feel anywhere close to comfortable picking a winner of the SEC.
  23. I dislike Kentucky for some reason... I know they're undefeated right now, but I think someone else steps up... too young for my liking. And my #1 dark horse is easily St. Mary's... they've got some good road wins vs. major conference teams, and Pat Mills is the best player in the country that no one knows about, plus they've got two bigs who can play some ball too. . Kid can flat out play.
  24. Wel all know this superbowl counts nothign because new england wasnt even in the playofffs, guys.
