  1. Louisville and Villanova are in a right one right now. 2 point game with 12:45 left.

  3. I feel extremely bad for you if you missed out on the UConn/Syracuse game tonight... What a f***ing treat.
  4. Providence is in a squeaker right now with DePaul up 32-31 at the half... christ they need to blow them out of the water in the second half if they want any chance of making the tourney. f***ING 0-18 IN THE BIG EAST DEPAUL.
  5. Fact: In 3 years you will be saying this about Bryant University.
  6. I wouldn't be that quick to call him garbage, but I do feel like he was brought up and thrown into the fire way too quick.
  7. What can you do? Manny's mojo combined with Mason standing on his head for 60 minutes, it was kind of expected. We needed a flukey goal and we couldn't get it.
  8. He's playing now though... And christ, Mason is so good. Always in perfect position and composed and not flopping around like good old Byron Dafoe used to do. He's going to be one of the best for a long long time. Scary thing is there's like 4 young goalies right now that have the potential to be amazing... Price, Mason, Rask, and Quick.
  9. It's not really about numbers. I watch enough of Dwyane to know that he's a mediocre on ball defender and doesn't really help out whatsoever. He's got good hands and can get into passing lanes pretty well, but lets not get over-excited about his defense just because he did a good job anticipating where Salmons was going on that play. I was actually surprised it wasn't called a foul. Not even close. LeBron Wade Kobe
  10. Too lazy go go grab the link but Boston.com reported the Pats signed Leigh Bodden to a 1 year deal.
  11. Steals and blocks are horrible indicators of defensive efficiency. I'll leave it at that.
  12. If Dwyane Wade can ever key up his defense like LeBron has in the last 2 seasons, like Kobe has, like Pierce has, etc., he can be one of the better 2 way players this league has ever seen.
  13. My ******* friend told us he had the hotel all booked, then we come to find out 2 days before we were supposed to leave that he never did it and he just got lazy and didn't feel like listening to us. Saved myself about a grand in money but I'm pretty pissed I'm not up there.
  14. I think they need to beat DePaul/Cincinnati (non-tourney teams) and THEN take out Louisville to make an impact on Selection Sunday. I still don't see their resume being impressive enough and a big win vs. Louisville would make them hard to pass over.
  15. I don't like Providence's resume at all... blah blah blah the Big East is tough blah blah blah, they really just didn't have it. By my count, they have one (1) big win. Not anywhere near enough to outweigh how poorly they played against top competition in the non-conference (losses to bubble/near bubble teams in St. Mary's, BC, and a Baylor team that looked to be a tourney team til conference play started)
  16. I don't like BC as much as most people this year. They're a squad that can be dangerous to any team they face though. I like to look at SOS, road wins, and big wins most importantly, and I discount bad losses a little more than most people because I feel every team has an off night (hey, Pats fans can still dream, right??) BC went 1-1 in non-conference road games, and 1-1 @ neutral sites, they're 5-5 overall on the road. I don't like that they had 2 close games with GT (they're pretty bad this year). They really only have 2 wins which really wow me at this point (Duke and @UNC) and they also have a good one vs. FSU (luckily didn't have to travel there). I feel their non-conference mediocrity is too much to overlook right now with BC. Like I said, pretty much win and they're in, but I feel their status is in doubt until then, but I won't be surprised if they make it in regardless, it just depends on your POV of it. As for Michigan, they're definitely in over Minnesota, I accidentally overlooked them on that list you had of bubble teams. IIRC they just beat Minnesota twice recently. My beef with them is that they didn't back up their strong start when conference play started and they don't look like the same team character and energy wise that was playing earlier this season. But I also think if you take Michigan you have to take Ohio State. The resume's of both teams are pretty comparable in my eyes at this point without delving too deeply into it, and OSU took both games with Michigan this year.
  17. I'd put BC on the bubble. They needed to show something in their last 2 road games vs. two teams worse than them numbers wise. I was talking to SOTK after the Duke win and said they needed to win 3 of the 4 remaining games to "nearly lock" an at-large bid (they won 2 of them, lost both on the road), so as of right now they're a bubble team in my eyes, because of their marginal conference record and weak as hell non-conference schedule. The StL and Harvard losses hurt them a lot, but I don't think they're as big of a deal because they've got wins @ UNC and vs. Duke to even it out. I think they're sitting pretty winning one round in the ACC and they're a lock if they win two. I'm personally hoping St. Mary's finds a way in, I'm a huge fan of Pat Mills, kid can ball. I'm not sure about Arizona. One week they look like a top ten team in the nation, the next they look like Bryant University. I can't get a read on this team, but if you put a gun to my head, I'd say out as of now, maybe win a round or two and they're in. Using your set up, the 7 bubble teams I'd take: Siena, TAMU, OK State, Penn State, Minnesota, Ohio State, and Cal.
  18. Man, I went all the way down to MSG (if you get the chance to go there, don't - it's a shithole) and get treated to a stinker by Manny. Despite his play though I loved the way we fought in the 3rd. 3 soft as hell goals. 3??!!? Get his ass out of here.
  19. I'm not sure what everyone else was expecting, but I saw it as a replacement for Kelley Washington, maybe a marginal 4th/5th receiver at best. I like it for that fact that maybe he can duplicate his special teams play-making abilities but I have no expectations of him past that. I'm still hoping we can sign/draft another legit 3rd receiver.
  20. I heard Kaberle hurt his hand, and may be out for the year, so he's most likely in Toronto for the year.
  21. I agree Kessel is a better offensive player than Samsonov ever was, but I put him in the same light as Sami, pretty one dimensional, not excellent on the forecheck, mediocre defensively, etc.
  22. I think we should be extremely cautious with him. He's pretty one dimensional out there. Kessel = the next Samsonov? And please get rid of Manny. The guy was just obviously riding a streak, I'd rather take my chances with Tuukka behind Timmy.
  23. I hope somebody smacks Ovechkin around tomorrow afternoon and lets him know he's our bitch.
  24. man the mullets are laying a beating down on me this week my gaa is .96 and a .967 save percent and i'm still losing those? DAMN
