  1. an awesome catch..?? he looked like a cow falling out of a wheel chair on a routine fly ball. he has the range of steven hawkings and is a liability every where but at the buffet table...
  2. man, you're dying to get a mirabelli thing going.in spite of the fact youlike him....start a thread. personally, as I have said I love dougie and wont bash him no matter what stats you wheel out. I still think that in terms of comparison to millar I'd rather see dougie lumber up in a clutch at bat than fat ass.
  3. all true, but it is reflective of just how horrible the yankees are percieved in the league. moyer has been a tough competitor for a lot of years, I think it more reflective of a putrid team chemistry, the thought of playing with the leagues biggest douche bag (sheffield), an unappealing management and the dumbest, rudest and worst fans in sports that makes going to new york that UNattractive.
  4. garffanino hurt his hand in the game on monday which may accoutn for tito's move with the lineup last night. as far as kevin goes, I wish my beer was as cold as he has been. he must have pictures of terry with sheep. gabes reward for hitting home run was the pine as well.
  5. see the millar brady thread--I dont think you can say he's hitting....a few measly singles--read els' posts.... I cant figure out why kevin's in the lineup. Roberto has had a couple of hits that were far more clutch than anything kevin could do..But I am anxious to see Olerud back..
  6. if I was a player I sooner join the bush adminstration than play for the yankees. now if we were the yankees we'd pickup moyer for tuesday miller game and then dump him.
  7. a little shaky..?? he looks like katherine hepburn out there, but he can hit and millar cant.
  8. I hope he rots. this would be great news, and I only hope that this wife cheating scumbag, is as miserable as he aappears for the rest of his life. quoting sheffield that's rich.
  9. I agree with soxie.. I also think guybo might be ted bundy's younger brother--coincidentally named guy... Guy Bundy,..., and if I were edgar I might tighten my security. The rage and fury after those two errors were probably enought to make guybo snap--and miss the game winning walk off hit. He was probably updating his hate site, or cutting out words from a magazine...if you know what I mean.
  10. I bet they throw gonzo.
  11. the fact is this is ione more piece of conclusive proof that all chokee fans are total *******s, douche bags and morons.....he didnt fall...he jumped... If I had my way he would have been pushed, but the fact is he did it on purpose. more importantly, those f*** faces lost from the post... August 10, 2005 - A thrill-seeking teenager hoping to make ESPN highlights plunged over 50 feet from the upper deck seats into the netting behind home plate last night in the eighth inning of the Yankees' 2-1 loss to the White Sox. The stunt will also likely land him in hot water.
  12. well, I dont know about all that-- jerry remy said jpapel will continue to be a starter in the future but probably not this season...he said that the sox keep a close eye of the number of innings the guys throw in the minors and he said papelbon has exceeded his limit. One of the reasons he is the bullpen is to reduce his innings as opposed to prepare him for being a bullpen guy. jerry said the guy will continue to be a starter so I dont know those a pretty different takes on the same move. personally, I dont think they would turn a potentially fantatsic starter into a bullpen guy at this point in his career. but that's just my opinion.
  13. wow. a whole website devoted to hating a ballplayer, I thought I was negative..
  14. sizzlin any comments on mr. I hate edgar's tagline.
  15. I still contend that he isnt doing his job, and that since FDR could get down the line faster, those measly singles and walks dont do s*** for the team. OBP is fine and dandy but kev, doesnt need to hit singles--he ought to be kicking in the odd home run or rbi. kevin being kevin.
  16. remy wearing a do-rag has to make the highlight reel..
  17. I contend that he should be getting at least a few more rbi's, god forbid the occasional clutch hit, some home runs might be nice, some fielding lessons, sonme running lessons and a permanent tongue--ectomoy
  18. and he does...that has nothing to do with dougie or mueller. millar hasnt delivered this year, and while you have so eloquently pointed out he has improved his anemic year after the all-star break--I contend he should be doing more.
  19. it's mr .teacher and you've been expelled.
  20. then.. finish the sentance...
  21. I wont diginify that comparison with much thought, except to say that biill mueller is among my favorites and kevin millar isnt. millar isnt worthy enough to be put in the same sentance. As either mirabelli or mueller.
  22. dougie is still the best back-up catcher in baseball and I'd rather see that guy lumbering up to the plate in a clutch spot that kevin.
  23. whowhooo.. number 5 ...stop the presses. so he has 7 rbi's and no home runs since the all star break.. he cant hit or field, but he gets laughs in the clubhouse. Not exactly the kind of numbers you want for a big guy like that or from your first baseman. every time he dives for routine fly balls in the outfield I swear to God he looks like he is falling out of a wheel chair. Worse case scenario let him play first, I dont understand why you would juggle the line-up to keep kev's whiffleball bat in the line up...kapler any time any day...
  24. hitting well? a couple of measly singles and walks, barely no rbi's , and certainly no homers... millar and bellhorn, aint gehrig and ruth.. more like laurel and hardy.
  25. roberts goes ahead of millar.
