  1. Pedro said something like that.
  2. Ryan Perry, RP
  3. Tevez has been linked with Real Madrid, so he could be on the move.
  4. Real Madrid nabs Kaka and Ronaldo.
  5. You might want to do some more research.
  6. Andy LaRoche, 3B
  7. Clay Buchholz, Jacoby Ellsbury, and MDC for Grady Sizemore.
  8. Andrew McCutchen, OF Put him on the bench for now.
  9. David Ortiz's peak five seasons were years that Jim Rice couldn't dream of touching.
  10. Yeah, and he's still missing about a bat per inning. Hard to say Pedro has the "desire" when he hasn't offered to play for the minimum, and is still holding out for a Smoltz deal.
  11. This is similar to Earl Weaver's strategy of bringing up pitching prospects in the bullpen. By the way, Roy Halladay shouldn't be on that list. He was atrocious in 2000, and got sent all the way down to A ball. Randy Johnson made one relief apperance his sophomore season, but made 28 starts. It's really five out of twenty. This is the clearest example of your extremely poor deduction skills. You took the names of the BEST 20 ACTIVE PITCHERS IN BASEBALL (what an awesome sample to pick from), found a few that were somewhat close to your point, and thought what you said was valid. Really lazy. Really stupid. EDIT* I actually agree with the strategy, but this was really poor. Even for Gom.
  12. This bullpen is so f***ing sick.

  14. Edwar Ramirez: The Next Mariano?
  15. ya rite him doun for 350 IP.
  16. Oh, poor Dontrelle. He only gets to go home to his $10 million a year paycheck. What a s***** life.
  17. http://www.talksox.com/forum/damn-yankees/12173-tampa-yankees.html#post392491 I'm talking about these ones. Most of the players he ballwashes are f***ing horrible. He was doing the same thing two years ago, about different "heralded Yankees elites." It was funny to watch Jacko's list erode as the Yankee prospects either played horribly, or went down with TJ surgery.
  18. I want to keep these threads around. I love it when Jacko lists the entire team for a Yankees farm club as potential ML's. Almost like Dojji's obsession with mediocre Red Sox prospects.
  19. He's worth a win, maybe a two, over the course of the season. Nick Johnson, with his numbers, is going to be worth six or more. That's a massive upgrade over David Ortiz, who has a negative WARP. The more pressing need is to upgrade the porous hole at DH, which is costing the Red Sox games.
  20. Great pick of Cruz and Johnson. Very good value on power for Cruz, which is getting scarce this late.
  21. Why does it have to be one or the other? The Yankees could have done more to improve their starting rotation, but that wouldn't have guaranteed a title.
  22. Why did his CERA rise so significantly? Would the pitchers on the mound have anything to do with that?
