  1. w00t! Back to back wins! Not to get too excited, the Red Sox are still a few fries short of a happy meal.
  2. I think we'll see Williamson in the 8th, and Foulke in the 9th. Also, Millar really came through with a clutch catch in foul territory, god knows how that AB would have wen't had pedro had to keep pitching.
  3. I'm befuddled, this is the one game I didn't think the sox would win going into this series, and their up 4-2 (bottom 7). Now we need Pedro and the Bullpen to stick it out for a few more innings... and this game is kinda short too.
  4. Well I'm just getting home, 2-2 tie, well it's better than it has been lately. Hopefully petey/bullpen can hold out longer than Clevelands. Maybe Oakland will win tonight, maybe they won't, to tell you the truth I doubt they will. Oakland is not that good though, their pitching staff is bleeding for some reason this year, so I expect that when NY starts playing some real teams with offenses reality will hit them like a ton of books.
  5. This game is on Pedro's shoulders. I don't expect the socks to knock out 9 runs against Sabathia.
  6. Carlton Fisk, no doubt about it.
  7. w00t! Let's carry this into tomorrow! This win means nothing if we can't bring the bats every night.
  8. Well, I don't see the Red Sox beating Sabathia so they better win this one!
  9. Well, the offense woke up, now lets split this series. Tonight the Sox fell short, but if they can come out like they did in the 9th, we have nothing to worry about. BTW, the Yanks are down 3-0 in the second... and in bad news, the Orioles won 10-3, so I think we're tied with them for the division, I might be mistaken, I don't check the standings early on in the season.
  10. Even if Derek Lowe pitches perfect the rest of the way, can the sox pull out two runs to tie, and then a third to win? It seems like two runs is asking for too much lately.
  11. you ever seen Donnie Darko?
  12. After I saw the first inning I got ill, so I'm watching a movie now, if anything good happens, be sure to let me know.
  13. Normally I would say, "hey, its only two runs." Not with the way our offense is swinging.
  14. If we can just do what we did in the top of the first in a more timely fashion, we should be in for a win, if not, get out the brooms. On the other side, Derek Lowe needs to pitch well tonight, his ERA is iffy, but he tends to get run support when he pitches. Lets hope so tonight!
  15. What a difference two bats can make...
  16. I attribute this slump mainly to the double-headers and rainouts, that'll really throw you into a slump.
  17. Where is the hitting? I think they left it at Fenway Park.
  18. Well, if there's any silver lining to this game it's that Westbrook should be out of the game soon. The Cleveland Bullpen is having its fair share of struggles this season and it's exactly what the sox need to get out of this hitting slump. Oh and what a difference two bats can make... Nomar + Trot = clutch hitting
  19. Well the Sox have their claim to fame this season... Most runners left on base. I swear to god, everytime we load the bases whoever is up to bat grounds into a double play.
  20. I would have told Crespo to go out there and stand there. Nothing he would hit could ever have been productive.
  21. it's looking pretty glum, 4-0 Tex bottom 8, time to pack the bags for Cleveland. Offense needs to find its groove.
  22. Billy Mueller lets down again.
  23. Ugg, see what I mean, 14 straight Sox down. This is not the Sox offense we know.
  24. Why would you question pitching? Arroyo didn't pitch that bad, and Pedro is a headcase, we know he won't do that every night. It's the hitting, as we just saw, bases loaded, and Mirabelli hits into a double play. Not what I call clutch hitting.
