  1. Hey, I'm sponsering a Fantasy Football league on another site. However, there's always room for more, so if anyone would like to joing here's the information. It's yahoo based so start by clicking here! Next you'll need the following information... League ID #: 251972 Password: freefootball
  2. WTF? Where are the Red Sox bats? Not that Schilling is pitching that great or anything but come on, we need some offense!
  3. Chicago Sun-Times columnist Jay Mariotti http://www.suntimes.com/output/mariotti/cst-spt-jay26.html Well, not quite Randy Johnson, but Matt Clement is wicked awesome! Doubtful though
  4. A win from Derek Lowe against the Yanks???? Maybe there is a god... Or maybe Contreras just sux0rs it up against the Sox. Either way, Lowe was on tonight!
  5. On one hit, the Yanks make it a game again. We're not out of it yet.
  6. We got one tonight off of the best closer in baseball. There's still hope!
  7. This feels so good. These games never go our way. It wasn't the playoffs, but it certainly felt like it! It feels SOOOOO GOOOD!!! (realisticly were shooting for the wild card but hey, the playoffs are in our future!)
  8. that's fine, the last two world series winners were wild cards.
  9. Update Well, the Sox are doing a lot of nothing right now. So hopefully something will be done before the deadline because this teams as it stands right now is a few fries short of a happy meal.
  10. Posada? I don't think so. The Yanks are trying to shop Contreras for Johnson, but who in their right mind would want a pitcher with an ERA over 5? And the reason the Yanks can't do a three way deal is because they would have to give up an important player (ie Jeter, Arod) because teams are looking for offense.
  11. at least we didn't lose any...
  12. I still think Williamson is better than Foulke.
  13. 1) Thou shall have at least one important player out of the line up at all times. 2) Thou shall leave as many players stranded as humanly possible. 3) Thou shall put Alan Embree in a close game so that the opponent may score runs. 4) Thou shall never be able to close out important games. 5) Thou shall always lose when able to gain ground in both the division and the wild card.
  14. arroyo deserves better than this
  15. I have one problem with your statement. RJ stated he did not want to leave Zona unless it helped the team, meaning, the Cubbies are the key to everything.
  16. Chicago Sun Times 7/16/04 First the reports came out of NY, now we're getting news out of Chicago that they are DESPERATE for a SS. Still however, the White Sox really want Nomar, but the Cubs have the prospects needed to get Johnson.
  17. hey at least we got Pedro/Schilling to finish out the series. I'd rather lose the first one and win the next two than win the first two and lose the last.
  18. What the hell? I thought Schilling and Johnson were good friends. When did this start?
  19. NY Times 7/14/04 Jack Curry Now the Cubs are in the mix, quite interesting. Although I'd still prefer Nomar to Pittsburgh for Benson & Wilson.
  20. *cough* Jack Wilson *cough*
  21. We have been put through enough torture these past few days, and after a loss like that, there's no viable way the sox can recover. 18 years ago we were 1 strike away from a world series, and we blew it. Last year we were one reliever away from beating the Yanks in the ALCS. Tonight, on top of it all, the Sox manage to blow the biggest momentum game of the year. All I can say is, for years I have been tortured and taunted by the Red Sox. "This is the year" I would say, sadly I have this to say. I had never been a believer in the curse until tonight, the Sox lose EVERY big game. Curt Schilling is the man but he cannot pitch every night. Screw the sox, go Brewers!
  22. ok we had our worst month of baseball, it's done and over with. We can move onto July. It all starts with a strong outing by Pedro Martinez. Look guys, we need to worry about making the playoffs. Tampa Bay is surging and just might do that.
  23. Not to mention our best relief pitcher got hurt in the most crucial part of the game.
  24. We can't blame this entirely on one play though. For example, Top 7 Red Sox lead 2-0, Bases Loaded, no one out, ZERO RUNS!!!
