  1. Let's think about some good things for Jason Bay: He has a .362 BA and .944 OPS against current Yankee pitching. So that's good. Who else has some positives?
  2. I'd bash you, but I think it'd be redundant. What a ridiculous thing to say.
  3. Another thing: Manny wanted to go to a place with less media attention and some peace of mind. Los Angeles is not that place.
  4. I don't mind the fact that we lose Hansen and Moss, neither of which really had a place on the team. But to give up all three players, plus possibly some money, to only get Bay back, seems like a lot.
  5. We better be getting grabow if we're giving up two prospects and manny
  6. Per cafardo: Hansen and Moss to pittsburgh Laroche and morris to pittsburgh dodgers get manny red sox get bay
  7. Welcome back, by the way.
  8. Caron is reporting it like it's done. COMMERCIAL BREAKK AHHHHHHHHHHH mlbtraderumors has nothing right now.
  9. Cafardo says it may be Bay. They all seem to be unsure.
  10. Dodgers, Pirates, and Red Sox is what is possibly being reported. More to come...
  11. I hate the trade deadline. But on NESN, the bottom of the screen says "A DEAL HAS GONE DOWN WITH MANNY RAMIREZ" No one seems to know anything about it though.
  12. It's been about 14 months for you, but welcome back, and congrats on Griffey.
  13. I figured they'd sweep in. Here's the article: Per bill chastain (i don't know who he is)
  14. If they're the seats I'm thinking of, 3rd base side, a section back, closer to the plate.
  15. I know everybody was getting really nervous, but Schilling finally had something to say on the matter. We can breathe easy now. From extrabases.
  16. Manny has given me a lot of happy memories over the last eight seasons (7+), but I now realize it is time for him to leave. I've liked him through almost all his antics over the years, but I think the last few days, including last night's quotes, have caused too much damage. Yeszir and I will be at the game tomorrow night, and I hope I have a new player to cheer for. This is all from a non-statistical or analytical standpoint, but as Manny said, "Enough is enough." We can (mostly) replace his bat, we can improve his defense, and we can do it for cheaper. Do it.
  17. They've been going slowly. Here are the most recent updates... Gammons: Carroll:
  18. I'm turning off the game, but I'll keep it to ESPNews and hope for some trade updates.
  19. - T. Hunter walked - G. Anderson homered to deep right, T. Hunter scored - H. Kendrick singled to center - G. Matthews Jr. grounded out to second, H. Kendrick to second - H. Kendrick to third on J. Varitek's throwing error - J. Mathis doubled to left, H. Kendrick scored - C. Figgins singled to right, J. Mathis to third - M. Delcarmen relieved J. Beckett - C. Figgins stole second, J. Mathis scored, C. Figgins to third on J. Lowrie's throwing error - M. Izturis hit sacrifice fly to left, C. Figgins scored - M. Teixeira safe at first on first baseman K. Youkilis' fielding error - V. Guerrero doubled to center, M. Teixeira to third - T. Hunter grounded out to third - End of Inning (5 Runs, 5 Hits, 3 Errors) It's rare to see such an ugly inning. I feel sick.
  20. This is such a sad game. Maybe they're all distracted by Manny? This needs to stop.
  21. From a Marlins message board, the rumor is expanded to 9 players:
  22. Maybe this deal is closer than we think? Per mlbtraderumors... Here's the original quote:
  23. Consider it a compliment. Welcome!
