  1. Well, now we can use Halama as a starter. HAHAAAAA, ehhhhhh. So that sucks. Clement needs to step it up a bit tonite, RSN could really use the boost. Here's the confirmation of Wells' stuff: Welcome back Lenny.
  2. Oh yeah, one more thing. Add Wade Miller to that bunch. *shudder*
  3. Player G GS W L SV CG SHO IP H R ER HR BB K ERA WHIP BAA David Wells 4 4 2 2 0 0 0 25.2 28 10 10 3 2 16 3.51 1.17 .280 Matt Clement 3 3 1 0 0 0 0 17.1 18 7 6 1 10 16 3.12 1.62 .265 Bronson Arroyo 3 3 1 0 0 0 0 18.2 20 8 8 2 6 8 3.86 1.39 .263 Tim Wakefield 3 3 2 0 0 0 0 19.2 12 4 3 2 7 14 1.37 0.97 .174 Curt Schilling 2 2 1 1 0 0 0 10.2 19 10 8 2 3 15 6.75 2.06 .380 With the exception of Curt Schilling, who was injured as you may recall and this is his spring training, our overall starting pitching has been quite awesome. Specifically the ERAs. These numbers don't include last night's start for Clement, who is actually 2-0 with a 2.13 ERA. His K/BB is 23/11. Sorry about that first column of stats.
  4. And Clement has thrown 13 straight scoreless.
  5. He is human, after all. 6 IP, 6 H, 4 ER, 5 K, 2 BB.
  6. I find it sad and strange that the most fit player in baseball gets injured way more than he ought to. I wish the Cubs ss of the future the best of luck. If any of you are interested, there's a video link of what happened here.
  7. Thank god. Clement = KICKASSS.
  8. I am very impressed...good to see Matt doing what he's capable of.
  9. I just realized the Billy Mueller has the flu (flu-like symptoms, what f***ing ever) so get better quick so we can put an end to the other disease AKA Vasquez.
  10. Randy Johnson is ineffective......he gave up 5 runs to the being shat-on D-Rays........Yankees are awful.....WHEEEEEEEEEE! On another note - Nomo gave up only one run? Whaaaaaaa?
  11. Tito - I love you man. But here's a little tip...from now on: a) Whenever you think Vasquez is a good replacement for Mueller as a starter on an offday, think again and while youre at it stab him in the face. Don't ever substitute Manny unless you're 8 runs or more up. Just a thought. On another note: Arroyo's the man.
  12. If anyone saw the press conference directly after the game, Schill said he's still working on the kinks. The only positive thing he felt out of this start was the win. He doesn't know why his fastball was moving between 87 and 94, but he's working on it. He also said that his next start should be much more sharp.
  13. Kazmir has struck out 15 Sox in 9 1/3, no ER. He's given up only 3 hits in the span. Ewwwwww.
  14. Just an update...today's stats: 8.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 3 K, 0 HR
  15. He faced them in '03, he pitched 7 innings, giving up 1 ER and 7 hits, 2 BB, 7 Ks.
  16. Derek Lowe's numbers last night against San Diego: 9 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 5 K. 108 pitches. Are you freakin' kidding me? D-Lowe has a 1.77 ERA over his first 3 starts.
  17. I think it was 38 million..biggest contract in Brewers history.
  18. Game is at 7:05, forgot to mention that.
  19. http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/us/sp/v/mlb/players/5/6786.jpg Dewon Brazelton (0-2, 4.38 ERA) vs. http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/us/sp/v/mlb/players/5/6099.jpg Matt Clement (0-0, 4.35 ERA) Brazelton is 0-1 against us in two career starts...pitching 6 innings and giving up 12 ER. I like the sound of that. And Kevin Millar is 3-5 against him with 2 HR and 6 RBI. I would mind two consecutive days of teeing off against Tampa. Clement needs to follow Wells and make a good start...doesn't need to be outstanding. Wells was outstanding.
  20. I was browsing around and I stumbled across this guy, a SP for Toronto. He's made four MLB starts, and all were pretty impressive: G GS W L SV CG SHO IP H R ER HR BB K ERA WHIP BAA vs.BAL 1 1 0 1 0 0 0 7.0 4 1 1 0 0 4 1.29 0.57 .160 vs.NYY 1 1 1 0 0 0 0 7.0 4 3 3 0 3 2 3.86 1.00 .174 vs.OAK 1 1 1 0 0 0 0 6.0 8 2 2 1 1 4 3.00 1.50 .320 vs.TB 1 1 1 0 0 0 0 5.0 3 1 1 1 1 3 1.80 0.80 .167 Does anyone know anything about this 24 year old?
  21. I thought Arod getting the standing O when he made a clean-ish play at third was classic.
  22. http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/us/sp/v/mlb/players/5/4715.jpg Mike Mussina, 0-0, 3.00 ERA vs. http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/us/sp/v/mlb/players/5/4906.jpg Tim Wakefield, 0-0. 2.70 ERA Wakefield was 1-0 with a 1.83 ERA vs the Yankees last year. He had a very decent start against them this year, going 6 2/3 IP and getting up two runs...both on solo shot HR. I'd take that start any day of the week. Kevin Millar and Doug Mirabelli can hit Mussina, but hopefully the bats will come alive for the rest of the lineup too.
  23. That's pretty depressing. But it is a business, as we're learning more and more through free agency and ticket prices.
  24. I heard somewhere that Youk will be getting the start over Billy who's 1-15 against Lilly lifetime. His one hit happens to be a homerun. Also, this is Lilly's first start off the DL this season. We'll see what happens. Millar, Manny, and Varitek should be fun to watch today against him...they are together .379 lifetime against him. (22/58)
  25. The movie was pretty goofy I thought, not the Farrelly brothers' best. But parts were funny. I was very dissappointed in the ending...it was almost like they really didn't have to change the script...they just rushed it all into the last 3 minutes, and added a narrative to the playoff highlights that we've seen so many times - although that never gets old. So on a scale from 1-10, I'd probably give it a 5. I expect more out of Bobby and Peter Farrelly.
