Some people see this as a kick in the ribs, that Kim didn't trust the sox doctors so he went back to Korea to get a second (and maybe third?) opinion.
But I don't really think its that big of a deal. Players do it all the time. Manny's done it and so has Pedro. As for Abu Ghraib, it took me a second to get that.
Haha, this is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. He wins, pitches horribly, has his ERA go up, and no one really complains too much (because, hey, he got the win). He was still his normal, bad self.
I can't complain so far. Lowe looks alright, not too great since he's giving up a fair amount of hits, but much better than he has all season. He needs to keep it up and do this for 3 more starts before I regain my faith in him though.
Of course, I can't complain with the score of the game either.
I don't like Galaraga for the sole reason that he falls for the hidden ball trick constantly. When he was playing regularly, every other month Sportscenter would have a highlight of him being tagged out at first, a victim of the trick. So I guess I have a negative perception of him.
And like GIZT said, the idea of the sox going out and signing old, semi-washed up players like in years past makes me cringe. I'd like to see trades with an eye for the future go down.

Welcome again Old Hoss!
It hit him in the hand too, hopefully he didnt get hurt. Getting hit in the hand can lead to some serious problems (just ask Nomar). It sure would suck to lose both third basemen, wouldn't it?
I was just thinking this. He certainly could have been the best ever, with around 600+ homeruns. More than Bonds perhaps. But no, he has a penchant for running into walls. So now hes stuck at 491. A great player, no doubt, and most likely in the hall, but not one of the best ever.
It's a shame, but he still has some years left in him.
While it sucks that we lose our 3b, I like the fact that this gives us an extended look at Youkilis. Hopefully it isn't too early for him, and he'll be able to deliver.
Do you think, come July, we'll want Youki over Mueller? What then?
