  1. So go enjoy your other site please. Once again, have a nice day.
  2. Yea, I don't know why I left Ortiz off of it originally. These are all things that I'll consider.
  3. Last year against the Marlins, 10 runs scored in the first before an out was recorded. That was a good time.
  4. On second thought, I seem to have royally screwed up the PSD file and am unable to edit the image without starting from scratch. I guess we'll implement a new banner every season type deal, so I'll make a new one with all new players for next year that will have a different style. Maybe then we can have a small contest where members can vote on the next banner, just to keep things lively during the offseason.
  5. The Olympics kick off today in Athens. I missed the opening ceremonies, but I'm sure I'll get a healthy dosage of the events sooner or later. Anyway, we can discuss stuff in here if it interests you guys.
  6. Pretty cool. Too bad it isnt higher res because during games you could check the score on the scoreboard. Must be pretty fun to look at when 2 feet of snow dump on Fenway.
  7. Empire, we aren't retarded. I can check IPs, and FROM THIS VERY PAGE I can see that this is you. I said you walked a thin line when I allowed you to come back, and you have just crossed over. No more fights only, no more talksox. Please find somewhere else to troll. Have a nice day.
  8. Truer words have never been spoken. Sveum is the devil.
  9. Exactly what I was thinking. I planned on removing Nomar, finding a better picture of Schilling, and maybe adding Foulke. You're welcome to submit a banner if it goes along with the way the site is structured colorwise. Just don't be offended if we stick with something along the lines of what we already have.
  10. I hope the game doesnt get called.
  11. No one would do it if this means losing money. It's obviously being considered because it would bring money to all teams involved from bigger market reach and the like. Edit: Turns out that this was talksox's 10,000th post. Here's to many more!
  12. Against the yanks? Or the rangers? Or what. Too lazy to look.
  13. I smell trouble brewing....
  14. Both pitchers have looked pretty good so far, hopefully that wont last on the Chicago end.
  15. You think wake can bounce back ok from his 6 home run fiasco win last time out?
  16. Topics merged
  17. Amen. Not to mention, they're an enjoyable read.
  18. I'm glad to hear: Pedro got up to 95 on the gun Pedro averages 6 2/3 ip per game now Pedro got a shutout The sox have won 3 in a row We are in first in the wild card Everyone is contributing Not to be optimistic or anything, but I like the look of things right now.
  19. From espninsider: So, will he or won't he? He'd be walking away from a lot of money.
  20. Why does it matter? Can he play football? Ok, cool. Who cares if he's gay or not. Same with Mike Piazza. Sheesh. I vote for the "who gives a crap" option.
  21. I missed it. Oh well, seems like it was a good game.
  22. 13-1 now. Absolute dominance, the way it should be. And things have been slow all week, and all summer too. People are busy I guess. I'd expect things to pick up soon.
  23. Shea Hillenbrand-esque. But patience at the plate usually comes with experience, and he can certainly improve upon that. Not every prospect comes out of the minors looking like a Kevin Youkilis.
  24. In his last outing (August 7th), Alvarez went 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits with 1 strikeout, but he got the loss.
  25. Wow. That's pretty serious. I'm glad that he's ok and that no serious injuries happened. And, I feel bad for laughing, but the fact that he is 8-10 with a 2.92 ERA speaks volumes about the Mets. Again, I'm glad he's ok.
