  1. Wow. I had no idea Mendoza was so good in the alcs. He was with the yanks prior to the sox, so it makes sense. He was with them when they were absolutely dominant.
  2. Me too. I hate punk music. And guess what, I'm passing on game 5 or 6 tickets to go to Nashville. I'm upset at myself.
  3. A sad story really, my heart goes out to Rivera and his relatives. That said, this is being moved to general baseball.
  4. http://msn.foxsports.com/story/3068808 He died from a heart attack at 41. And Christopher Reeves also died today.
  5. Yes. Yes you will :banned:
  6. Welcome to the site. I bet you had some fun taunting dolphins fans today if you're into football.
  7. They seem to be playing just good enough to beat whichever team they are facing. They arent flat out crushing opponents.
  8. It's a glitch in the message board. It's been proven to me. Don't worry about it.
  9. Ok. Maybe this IP thing isnt as reliable as I thought.
  10. Yankees
  11. Laughable. Nixon can stay healthy, this was his first year of injuries, and he is a big threat when he is healty (even if I do hate him). Mientkiewicz is a great first baseman, and he has helped the team out tremendously first base wise. Glavine will soon be 39 years old. I doubt the sox would give up so much for him.
  12. Not true. You say what happened to our pen in game 3 of the alds. They essentially blew the game. Lowe came on and got 3 strikeouts in 1.2 innings and pitched decently. The playoffs are a whole other ballgame from the regular season. I would not be surprised to see Lowe continue to pitch and continue to pitch well.
  13. This picture is from 1962: http://www.kcmets.com/Pictures/62teampic.jpg
  14. We could be facing any team in baseball and any pitcher and I'd have confidence in game 1. Schilling has been lights out this entire season, and he only had one inning (12 consecutive pitches) where I felt otherwise. Mussina has been pitching well recently, but not as well as schilling. Overall I feel OK about facing the yankees, but I'd rather have faced the Twins.
  15. Welcome to the site, I'm glad that you agree with me.
  16. Yea. But unforunately, that guy hasn't posted since April 23rd. I think we all knew that Manny would have a great year. Spring training is really never a great indicator of things to come, and he really showed that this year.
  17. You can't be serious. He looks so stupid with them. But whatever, if he continues to pitch well I'm all for them.
  18. I say Red Sox in 6. I don't think anything can be quite as dramatic as last year.
  19. Their bats scare me though. It should be an interesting series.
  20. EmpireII, chicagocubs7, noonanberg, van, brewcrewin, mannyofrmvp04 and metsin07 all have the same exact IP. Someone please explain this to me....
  21. Thats an awesome picture.
  22. The only part that worried me was the bullpen's shaky performance. Myers and Timlin defnitely did not get it done. They need to get it done for us to advance farther.
  23. It was not a perfect ending. Perfect endings don't end in nearly blown games and nerve wracking extra innings.
