Well as you can tell from my name I am a big Red Sox fan, that happens to live in NY. All my roomates are Yankee fans, one met and every single person in my office (except me) is a loyal yankee fan. I have to listen to the damn yankee radio everyday. I have fun with it though! Whenever the Red Sox play the yankees I make sure to be louder than all of them put together. I've been a Red Sox fan from birth. Both parents are! and raised me right. My brother however decided to go with the Giants. I have got to say that there is nothing better to watch then a Boston Red Sox game, I don't care who they are playing. I saw this site the other day so I decided to join and voice some of my opinions and just to read what everyone has to say. I'm always looking for rumors involving the Red Sox. I saw one the other day on here involving Odalis Perez (would be a nice pickup). I always enjoy seeing who is going to be part of our team every year. I know there are better players out there at most positions, but these guys just seem to have a bond like no other team. I like our chances this year, as I'm sure everyone else does and I'll be sure to let the yankee fans know the Red Sox Nation wants this one bad. Well I got some time to spare so I'm just going to say whats on my mind. Every year we seem to have a good second baseman but loose him. I was a big fan of Todd Walker and still watch to see how he's doing. I would not mind him back on our roster. Don't get me wrong Mark Bellhorn has been a wolf in sheeps clothing, but his strikeouts does make it alittle frustrating at times. And then there's Pokey, how could you not like Pokey. He's one hell of a Defensive player along with Mientkiewicz (the best defensive first baseman I've ever seen) kind of wish he was playing on the 1986 team. Oh well thats the past this is now. David Oriz, Manny Ramirez, Curt Schilling, Trot Nixon, Johnny Damon, Jason Varitek, Billy Mueller, Keith Foulke, Tim Wakefield, I don't think I would trade for anyone. Your probably looking at this list and wondering why I left off Pedro, well it's not that I don't like him, I think he's great, but I wonder about him sometimes. Does he want to be a Red Sox, I certainly hope so. But what a deal we could get for him, Randy Johnson & someone else maybe Odalis Perez or hell why not Oliver Perez. But there are others that might be expendable in some eyes. Maybe Kevin Millar, he would bring a nice trade in, Bronson Arroyo, Derek Lowe, Mike Timlin all of which could bring in some nice up and coming stars. Although I CAN'T STESS THIS ENOUGH I LIKE EVERY SINGLE RED SOX PLAYER!!!!!! But just some thoughts you know, we got three first basemen all of wich are great. Ortiz might as well leave him at DH, and why not have Doug play everday. Millar could bring someone quite nice over if dealt to the right team, I know alot of you if anyone is reading this think I must be crazy but just think about it, Baltimore is looking for a first baseman next year, they got a decent up and coming bullpen and through Newhan in there. I think Todd Walker would pay to be a Red Sock again, and Jeff Kent would be a pretty good fit if he doesn't retire. Cabrera has been great for us, although I kind of doubt he is going to stay. If not Visquel is a free agent again and then there's Edgar Rentaria, that would be nice. I had mixed emotions about Nomar leaving but kind of felt it was for the best. Our backup's are the best in the game, some of which could and should be starting for other teams. Kapler, Roberts, Youkilis, Mirabelli all are good. Our bullpen is outstanding, Williamson is going to be a great pitcher once he's healthy, Timlin is great but has some hard times once in awhile, Embree's a good hard throwing lefty. Some of the new guys Mike Myers, Pedro Astacio could be good add on in trades. Any position player that comes to play for the Red Sox is going to be productive we all know that, but I do want to see the same chemistry we have now. I like Terry Francona I think he's done a great job, just needs to be there awhile to earn some more respect when needed. That brings me back to the Pedro thing. I think Francona is kind of scared to tell Pedro what to do and personally I don't think it should be like that, everyone needs a kick in the ass once in awhile. So I guess I've said pretty much all that I wanted to say, I can't wait for October and I'm sure you guys/girls can't either. And I can't wait to see what next year has to bring our way, maybe a Carlos Beltran, Randy Johnson, Odalis Perez, Edgar Rentaria, Jeff Kent, Todd Walker, Magglio Ordonez, Jose Guillen, Rafeal Palmero, Moises Alou, Carlos Delgado, Tom Glavin all of which would be great pickups, and I can't forget Nomar!
