    I'd be really scared about the rest of the series if the sox don't win this game. Curt has been our ace, and he needs to pitch like it. He's great under pressure, so I expect him to pitch well.

    I think you need to give the guy a break. He just came back, and prior to this he had been pitching extraordinarily well. He will be in the pen, no doubt about it, and he will pitch well. He's pretty much been our only consistently good reliever, and there's no possible way that putting him on the playoff roster would be a hard decision.

    He's just realizing that he's been pitching horribly of late, and that his chances of signing for an uber high amount are slim to none.

    I just heard their game today was postponed in the 11th inning so they could make use of the stadium for a college football game. Since when does college football trump a baseball game with extreme playoff implications?

    Nomar winning the series with the cubs ranks 2nd behind the sox winning the series for me. Can you imagine the sox facing off against the cubs in the world series?

    A good start to the game at least.

    The monster seats have made it all but impossible to see the sign from many parts of the ballpark. But in any case, I'm glad the sign will stay up for a while to come, its a cool symbol. Now... as for those burnt out light bulbs...

    He's always been like this. He's a headcase on the mound when he isn't pitching well. Remember 4 years ago? He worked well as a starter after that, until the wheels came off. Once their off, they're not coming back on I dont think.
