Woody Williams' contract extension was just refused by the Cardinals, I heard this on ESPNEWS, so he's out in the open.

Not much in the way of prizes, but the member who posts the 20,000th post (it wont really be the 20,000th, since about 1,000 have been deleted due to accidents and the like) will recieve a custom user text of his or her choosing. Just a small one to tide us over to a big one.

Mike Piazza is not a catcher anymore. Here's simply another First base type (maybe DH in the AL) with moderate power, something the sox have plenty of as it is. Losing Manny and adding Piazza and Ordonez (Beltran is NOT coming to the sox, no matter what you think) is not worth it.
