What I'm worried about is Mirabelli's consistency. Sure he hit well when he played 1/5 games, but what happens when the soreness and beatings you take from being a daily catcher catch up to him? How will he hit then? As for Varitek. If he wants to stay so badly, why would he let Boras pitch such a horrible offer.

Much too much. Scott Boras deserves to be shot in all of his extremities and left to die on the floor alone. Varitek can't possibly be this greedy, it has to be Boras's influence. That said, I'd rather let Tek walk then throw this kind of money for this long at him. Shoppach ready soon?

Damn. That was the most powerful looking swing I have ever seen. He got all of his weight behind it and just KILLED it. That's got to be the most amazing homerun I've ever seen, topping Manny's light tower blast from a few years ago.

No one is trying to blast anyone and make you feel inferior. Don't take it personally. Some people are really passionate about their sox, and to hear mention of some players being traded is too much for them to take. That said, asserting your opinions like they are the law of the land is not the way to go either. It's just a message board. We need to lighten up.
