    The "media" are (yes, I'm going the grammatically correct route today) generally the influential factors in whether fans hate a player or not. I hate to be just another guy blaming the media, but they really get on players' backs and essentially ride them out of town. About Williams and the war from mlb.com: So he was drafted, got out of it essentially, but enlisted anyway.

    Amen. I would have to go with Pedro's changeup of olde, especially when paired with his fastball. It was painful to see hitters swing at those.

    Tek. He caught Wake before 'Belli came (hows that for shortening names), and he's done it before. It would be unfair to Shopp (again) to make him catch a knuckler in what would be the 3rd start of his career. edit: Also, welcome to Master Shake. I don't recall ever seeing you post before, glad you decided to start!
