Looking back, I have to wonder if Cora wouldn't have been better off starting a reliever to give Richards more time to warm up. I mean he had an HBP that was no where near the plate and a wild pitch that was just as bad--as well as 6 walks.

Pretty lousy pinch hit by Arroyo who couldn't hit that 85 mph fastball. First he looked at two right down the middle, then swung and missed at the third. All fat pitches.

A starting reliever is an oxymoron, but I think your idea is a good one.

Need a run or two here. Go sawx!!!!!

I knew the Jays would score some runs but no way did I think we would struggle to score two through 6 against the Jays pen. Sheesh. One of those days I guess.

I was thinking this too. I honestly think we would have had more of a chance with a bullpen day. Houck goes or Whitlock goes or someone like that. Richards was decent his last two starts though giving us 10 innings and 4 earned runs so I don’t fault Cora. But man Richards is god awful. Had two average innings, but the first, second and 5th was atrocious.

Completely bush league at bat by Dalbec. Looks at two strikes and swings at one a mile outside that might have hit him in the foot. About on a par with Arroyo's.

It is getting late, but they haven't turned the lights off yet.

Relief pitchers can have good stuff; just ask ECK.

Valdez looks new and improved this year. Man he has some nasty stuff.

You know, it's just possible the Sox bullpen isn't awful. And my goodness what a contrast with Richards. In the most recent 13 innings they have given up 1 run.

How did a SOX back-up catcher become, perhaps, the best manager in baseball?

What year was cash with us again? I can’t even remember him lol
