Any time JD has to move laterally on a fly ball there's gonna be a problem. He's a terrible defensive outfielder. Thank you, Captain Obvious.

Maybe during the offseason Cora can give him some reps at 1st base. If he has to be in games where he can't DH, his playing 1st can't be any worse than his OF play. Or maybe it can. If ever a player was meant to be a DH and nothing else, it's JD.

JD sort of looks like how Joe West would look if they stuck a glove on his hand and put him in the OF. Edited by jung

Dick Stuart was also a player who should never have had a fielder's glove on. Unfortunately for Stu there wasn't a DH rule when he played.

Lol well put.

E Rod is pitching solid as usual.

180 degrees opposite of JD is JBJ. If ever there was a player that was meant to wear a fielder's glove and never swing a bat, it's JBJ.

Jd just did his JBj impression with the bat

In 2016 I predicted erod would be our #1 starter in 2 years. Was off by 1 season.

He better not hide that Change one night and forget where he put it.

I'm waiting to read TylerD's upcoming book about baseball. It will be titled GREAT SOX PLAYS I MISSED WHILE TAKING A POOP IN 2019. The book will be very thin. Edited by SPLENDIDSPLINTER

Regardless of how he does in this inning this should be Nola's last. He has gone from his pitches flattening out to wild in and out of the strike zone. That can't go on very long.

Tough pitch to Mitch from a guy that is clearly starting to lose it a bit. Got that pitch to do exactly what he wanted it to do.

Hitting him is better than having that drift over the plate. That is of course the death curse of the Change...drifting over the plate up.

I guess I'm the only one who had a problem with that last half inning. The SOX are supposed to win these ballgames aren't they? If not, I apologize for my outburst.

I did not say anything because I just do not know the situation with Beni. He is struggling mightily. Something like 1 for his last 6 games.
