Not a single swing and miss on a pitch in the strike zone so far for Rick and up to 24 pitches with no out in the 2nd.

2 outs. 30 pitches. He will give us 6 innings as he usually does.

The first curve to Stewart was hung. The last one was nice

We need a starter ? Is this what you want to hear ? Yes Jackson we need a starter .Ok ? Now enjoy the ass woopin .

We do but not at the expense of Porcello. Nobody in the league do I want in a 3rd or 4th spot over Porcello. Absolutely not.

Actually Manfred needs a brain transplant and the league needs an infusion of pitching talent which is nowhere to be found.

Ya I see what you mean. His pitch count is gonna get up there pretty quick.

He has a good release of the two seamer. He is really throwing his change well. He cannot find the release on the curve. He can still beat this awful lineup without the breaking ball

He is now shying away from the breaking ball.

Which is normal when it’s not working or your command is off. Like how Sale went away from the fastball at the beginning of the year. His velocity was s***

One would think. But..... this bullpen. I dunno

There is the slider. He was on top of that one

Against this line up no way his pitch count should be this high though.

Virtually 90% of MLB starters feature pitch counts too high and innings per start too short because they get no easy outs on weak contact and no swing and miss in the strike zone. This is not a Rick problem as much as it is an MLB problem.
