He’s beautiful. Shut up.

He is facing one of the worst lineups I have ever seen. Not a single player in their lineup would make either the Yanks or Sox team, so they aren't gonna make him pay. Porcello's breaking ball in the first inning was flat because he is getting around the ball and not getting on top of it. Levangie needs to make him aware of that.

He is a HORRENDOUS outfielder. He makes Clint Frazier look like a gold glover. He is a glorified DH who barely OPS's .800, doesn't walk a ton and doesn't have much power. He wouldn't make the sox. He wouldn't make the Yanks. My point stands

Cool story. He f***ing dominated Houston and Minnesota earlier this year. Minnesota is still a baseball tram with professionals on it. And it was a quick inning for him. No clue what you mean by flat. Looked fine to me.

Edit. Meant to say Detroit is still a professional baseball team.

I don't know how Manfred thinks he is going to get away with this crap pitching in MLB unless he is convinced that the fan base is oblivious.

He can hit. Big split away vs home.

Probably because you are only interested in results, which is great for you. The point stands, he is rolling his breaking ball. He did it against the Yankees too and he got shellacked

Zimmerman is not a big league pitcher anymore. The Tigers are hoping against hope that they can get someone to take on his contract, but he is done out there. The Tigers would be better served to get the kids some work

So in the discussion of whether there are pitches that these guys can't grip any longer with the virtually seamless, rocket ship baseball, I have seen more crap Sliders this season than I have seen in any 5 other years combined outside of expansion years. That is NOT the only problem with MLB pitching. But IMO it is certainly one of them.

Very few of them I am seeing have the late break the Slider is famous for and most of them are more Slurve than Slider.

Well I used to play baseball and pitch so I also know what I’m looking at. I don’t see what you are seeing at all. He had a bad out against the Yankees I’ll give you that. It happens. Nothing to do wit today. “You look at results” well ya.... a pitcher going 9 innings of shut out baseball while he is “rolling” his breaking ball. I could give a s*** if it gets the win. Porcello when on is fantastic. Unfortunately he can have some dud games too where he gets inside his head.

Zimmerman is just collecting a check. He will be back on the IL inside of 3 or 4 starts and then he will shut down and rehab and repeat the cycle until his big contract expires.

Watch his release of his breaking ball and see if he made the adjustment this inning. He was getting around his breaking ball instead of getting on top of it. Watch it this inning. Watch the hand. It is a function of release point too. He is slinging it instead of throwing it

Not a single swing and miss on a pitch in the strike zone so far for Rick and up to 24 pitches with no out in the 2nd.

The first curve to Stewart was hung. The last one was nice

Sometimes it takes Porcello an inning or two to adjust. He usually seems to give up an early homer and then adjusts. I didn’t see what you meant the first inning but I was also feeding my son so can’t say I was glued to it. But he looks ok here.
