How's X ? Only thing I care about now with them

"still being evaluating" at this team would seem to imply that they have ruled out the ever popular "contusion".

That's what it looked like to me. Dragged that boney outside of his right ankle across that concrete. PAINFUL! BUT I pray not serious.

s***!

It's the Left ankle!

Not good!

WTF happened to the LEFT ankle? Did someone on the Rays stab him in the ankle while he was in their dugout??

At this point I'm more focused on hearing the extent of Xander's injury. Sucks the Sox are losing but the loss of Xander is a big deal.

Looked to me like he injured his ankle trying to plant himself on the floor of the Rays dugout. Definitely didn't look good.

The question I have is why in the world Xander flipped the ball to an empty spot that was 3B. Casper the Friendly Ghost must have been covering 3rd and the only person who saw him was Xander.

He did it because he has done it many, many times before--flip it to the thirdbaseman. It was a reaction play and he simply forgot he was in fact the left wing of the infield. Usually on a shift to the right he is between the secondbaseman and the thirdbaseman.

Could have easily twisted it landing just over those stairs. Could have caught it on the last stair, then landing hard on the ground after that?

Not good!

We can all agree on that. A year ago, not so much, but right now he is like the franchise player.

I'm hard on him but make no mistakes ....he's a special player that looked elite up until today this year .

I blew my ankle out 4 weeks ago playing ball with my son, and still can barely walk right.

Just a sprain, but it's still black and blue 4 weeks later.

Ya. I've heard it said that a bad ankle sprain can take as long to heal as a break. :-(

I would be surprised if they were booing JD as much as they were booing the "logic" that put him out there in LF in Fenway Park....not to mention putting Beni in CF.
