How can you not love Deven Marrero at 3b. If he can keep his BA consistently in the .250 neighborhood, he should have a steady job. IMO!

 

Also, this kid Lin strikes me as a 'ballplayer'. The question is where does he fit in on this roster, particularly after Brock Holt returns.

Brock Holt has been playing in games this week and doing rather well. I think we'll see him activated after the All Star break and it may well mean a trip to Pawtucket for Lin.

He's a first half guy that seems to break down the second half. Maybe because he's missed so much time he will be good the second half for us.

If opportunities, namely save opportunities in games that the Sox lead by 3 runs or less, do not come about during a stretch of Sox blowouts coupled with losses, then it's paramount to get him some work to stay sharp and not get 'rusty'.
